Earl Cowan (Earth-616)

Dr. Earl Cowan was an engineer that feared nuclear between the United States and the Soviet Union. When he was assigned to the Stark International project of rebuilding Red Ronin, he stole it in an insane attempt to attack Russia and prevent World War III. As Cowan rampaged through New York City with Red Ronin, the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. fight to stop the robot. The robot was eventually stopped when Beast removed a plug in the robot's cockpit. Cowan was taken away with S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury commenting that he would likely be committed instead of standing trial.^[1]
