History
After being stranded in 1982, Deke Shaw formed the Deke Squad, an unofficial branch of S.H.I.E.L.D. that presented itself as a music band as a cover and was headquartered in the Lighthouse.[1] After Deke had to depart in October of 1983, the entire Deke Squad, except for Cricket who was merely a drummer in the band, joined the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy, since Deke didn't have an authorization to make them into actual agents at that time.[2]
