Avengers Academy (Earth-11080)

When a plague turned the world's population into cannibals, the Avengers Academy student body helped the Avengers hold off the infected.^[1] Eventually, Dr. Doom offered them a cure in the form of Doomstones, necklaces that would neutralize the plague.^[2] Everyone reluctantly agreed to take his help. Members helped in various non-combative tasks, such as setting up an electrical field to keep infected in. Some even sat in with the rest of the Avengers during a meeting.^[3]

In the end, it turned out that Doom had fooled them. The Doomstones actually forced the plague to take over and the Avengers Academy students were among the many that became cannibals as a result. Iron Man had to kill them.^[4]
