Mrs. May Porker built this technology aiming to improve hair care industry. When she tested it on herself, she became widely irradiated and, losing control over her own actions, she grabbed and bit her spider companion Peter, turning the later into a man-sized pig with spider powers. May eventually recovered, but from that moment on, she believed that Peter was her nephew. The machine was left in the basement, apparently discarded and forgotten.^[1]
