History
Andrew Palmer was Warren Worthington's best friend at school. He once was listening (along with the rest of the sports team) to a conversation between Warren and his coach, where Warren insulted the rest of the team by calling them "lackluster." Realizing that his team was listening to him, he tried to remedy it, but they simply left leaving him alone with Andrew, whom he didn't let talk.[1]
In church, Amanda Cobb asked Andrew about Warren, but neither knew where he was. Later, Andrew saw Warren tear up and throw a letter, Amanda also saw it and pushed Andrew for her to be able to pass. In the evening, he had a conversation with the father, who reminded him that he had to make his weekly confession, which Andrew did not want to do and apologized for it.[1]
Elsewhere, Amanda and Brandon Hardy were talking about who they should kidnap to get back at Warren for breaking up with her, and she suggested Andrew. That night, they kidnapped Andrew and took him to the bathroom, where they were going to burn him with hot water from the showers.[2]
To his luck, Warren heard him screaming and came to his rescue. He asked Brandon to leave him, and although at first he didn't want to, he ended up accepting it, while Warren and Andrew were leaving, Brandon made fun of them saying they were boyfriends, and Warren hit him for that.
After leaving the scene, Warren took Andrew to his room to heal his burns, and when he mentioned his burned back, Andrew took the opportunity to confess that he had picked up the letter he saw him tear up and throw away and glued it back together so he could read it, so he knew Warren was growing wings on his back.[2]
