History
Anastasia Hardy's history is similar to that of her Earth-92131 counterpart. She is the wealthy mother of Felicia Hardy and the Daily Bugle's biggest advertiser, once hosting a charity ball at publisher J. Jonah Jameson's Manhattan home.[1] It was at Jameson's that she first met Peter Parker.[2]
Anastasia runs the Hardy Foundation, which offers research grants to scientists. Otto Octavius, who had a cold fusion project, was one of these recipients. However, Anastasia was impatient with Octavius' results, leading to Octavius rushing the project and causing the accident that turned him into Dr. Octopus. Her daughter Felicia was caught in the middle of this conflict as Dr. Octopus kidnapped her with the intent of ransoming her for money, but was later rescued by Spider-Man.[2]See Also
