Description[]

There are four jewel pieces in each of the regular levels. They are quarter pieces that form a complete jewel upon being combined. Wario has to collect every jewel piece in a passage so that he can fight the boss at the end. During a level, the player can check which jewel pieces they have obtained by pressing to access the Pause menu. Before Wario has completed a level, the jewel pieces he found are gray on the pause screen, but after Wario completes the level, the jewel pieces are colored in.

The appearance of a jewel piece depends on which passage it is found in, including emerald jewel pieces in Emerald Passage levels, ruby jewel pieces in Ruby Passage levels, topaz jewel pieces in Topaz Passage levels, and sapphire jewel pieces in Sapphire Passage level. In addition, there are four purple jewel pieces in Hall of Hieroglyphs and four golden jewel pieces in the Golden Passage.
