The Earth Vellumental Temple is a location which appears in Paper Mario: The Origami King.

Mario starts out in a cave where there are several exhibits that tell the story of the Earth Vellumental. The path has several exhibits on it an a group called the Earth Vellumental Temple Path The 1st exhibit reads, "Earth Vellumental Temple Path 1 Temple Origins (10 coins)". Each exhibit has a price that Mario must pay to hear the information. Further down the path is then 2nd exhibit, that reads, "Earth Vellumental Temple Path 2 Shellvation Is Near (10 coins)" Behind the 2nd exhibit is a rock, and behind the rock is a beetle that is the 1st Toad. Further down the path is the 3rd exhibit that reads, "Earth Vellumental Temple Path 3 Pain Point (10 coins)" In the dialog that the exhibit reads after you pay 10 coins, you can see the 2nd Toad calling out to Mario for help. You can hit the box once, and then pull out the 2nd Toad. Continuing down the path is the 4th exhibit, that reads, "Earth Vellumental Temple Path 4 Footsteps of the Elders (10 coins)"

Between the 4th and 5th exhibits are a row of hanging lamps. The 3rd Toad is in the 5th lamp.

At the end of the path is a large rock that contains three origami beetles. The 1st beetle climbs up onto the wall and is the 4rd Toad. This Toad is the owner of the shop Fun, Funky, and Functional in Picnic Road. The 2nd beetle is near the 5th exhibit, and is the 5th Toad. The 3rd beetle ran up the path into the stairway in-between the 2nd and 3rd exhibits. It hides under the staircase and Mario must hit it when it comes out. This is the 6th Toad.

The 5th exhibit at the end of the path has a sign to the left of it that reads, "[A Request] Do not hit, disturb, or even look at the divine image too closely". The 5th exhibit reads, "Earth Vellumental Temple Path 5 Behold: The Spirit Itself (50 coins)" After the exhibit is done reading, it releases a shower of confetti. Olivia then tries to talk to the Earth Vellumental, to get it to help. However, you must hammer the wall that the Earth Vellumental is on three times, to open up the rest of the path.

The path continues onward, into a place full of traps. The 1st obstacle is where two pillars come up and down above a chasm of spikes that Mario must jump across. In-between the 1st and 2nd obstacles is a Save block. The 2nd obstacle has 5 pillars that Mario must jump across. The 4th pillar contains the 1st Not-Bottomless Hole. At the end of the 2nd obstacle is a rock that contains a heart that restores 50 HP.

In the next room, Mario is ambushed by three Origami Koopa Troopas. Following the path is a set of stairs that leads down to a large platform. The platform has two leg paths with the left one leading to a Treasure Chest, which contains the No.25 Collectible Treasure Earth Vellumental Relief.

Following to the right of the large platfrom, is the 1st Question Block, that contains a 100-coin. The question block is on a obstacle that slides in and out, with 4 coins scatted above it. On the left side, the obstacle has a part sticking out while it slides in, but on the right side, the obstacle slides completely in. Also on the right side is the 2nd Question Block, that contains a 100-coin. On the other end of the obstacle is another large platform with an Origami Koopa Troopa on top. On the bottom right leg of the platform is a bare part of ground that has the 3rd Question block on top. Inside is a fire flower. In the upper right of the large platform is another small platform, which has the 2nd Not-Bottomless Hole in it. The small platform rises up and down. Further along the path is the 4th Question Block, which contain Shiny Boots.

To the left of the path is another pillar with the 3rd Not-Bottomless Hole on it. When the hole is filled, it allows Mario to access a lower secret cave, along with the next pillar. The cave contains a couple 10-coins, and the 7th Toad, who is being attacked by Origami Swoopers. The Toad is a curator of the exhibit, and the last Toad in the Earth Vellumental Temple.

Above the small platform, which contained the 2nd Not-Bottomless Hole, is another room, of the temple. Inside, there are obstacles that push out Mario onto a bottom shelf. To the far left of the bottom shelf is the 4th Not-Bottomless Hole. In between the 1st and 2nd obstacles is the 5th Question Block, which contains a Shiny Hammer. The next obstacle consists of three parts that push out in a line, right to left. At the far end. past all 5 obstacles is the 5th Not-Bottomless Hole. At the far end of the bottom shelf is the 6th Not-Bottomless Hole, along with a Treasure Chest, that contains the No.26 Collectible Treasure Rocks. There are four Origami Koopa Troopas in the bottom shelf, with three being in their shells.

The 4th obstacle contains an inside compartment that Mario can fit into. This allows him access into a hidden room with 5 coins, and that leads to the next area. There are several steps, along with the 7th Not-Bottomless Hole, and the 6th Question Block, which contains a 100-coin. To the left of the door to the next room is a Save Block.

In the next room, on the path, is a boulder that must be broken to continue. Once done, an Origami Koopa Troopa will drop from the ceiling. Continuing along the path are more obstacles, that are fire traps. The 1st fire trap can just be followed, to pass, while the 2nd fire trap must be jumped over. In between the 1st and 2nd traps is an arch of 5 coins, and the 2nd fire trap has one coin above it. There is also an Origami Koopa Troopa spinning with the 2nd trap. The traps deal 15 HP when touched. The Origami Koopa Troopa drops a mushroom.

Coninuing along the path is a heart that restores 50 HP. The next fire trap has six flames, but there is a wide gap every three flames. Three are two rocks on the path, with the second one containing a bag of confetti. There are the small 8th and 9th Not-Bottomless Holes, in the path. The next obstacle contains two giant fire traps, each with six flames and a gap every three. Continuing on is the 10th Not-Bottomless Hole, and another fire trap, with a hole that leads inside, where one of the middle flames should have been. Therefore, it only has five flames, and a two gaps. The hole is the easiest way to get past it.

Continuing along the path, is a Save Block, along with a large vertical fire trap, with six flames and a gap every three. Past the trap is a boulder blocking the path. When broken, the vertical fire trap falls to the ground, and rolls after Mario. Along this path is the 11th and last Not-Bottomless Hole. However, you do not need to fill in the Not-Bottomless Hole, until you escape the fire trap. You can do this by ducking into one of its holes where it pumps out fire, to avoid getting flattened. After the fire trap falls into the gap, rocks fall down and create a bridge. Also, a MAX UP Heart falls onto the bridge, increasing Mario's Max HP by 20. At the end of the bridge is the door to the next room.

After the long detour, Mario appears on top of the ledge above the pillar that had led down to the cave. Here, there is another pillar taped to the wall by King Olly Tape. Once removed, it creates a shortcut back to the ledge. If you jump to the left of the pillar, you can access the next room.

Inside, there is a Save Block, with a staircase leading up. At the end of the staircase is a ledge over a cliff. When Mario walks onto the ledge, it breaks, and he falls down to the Earth Vellumental, which they happen to land on. This results in a boss battle. At the beginning, Olivia talks you through the steps of boss battles.

Mario must move the rings using the moves allowed to him, and in the time allowed to arrange the arrows in a path that leads him to an attack. The Earth Vellumental's weakness is in its tail.

After defeating the Earth Vellumental, Mario obtains the Earth Bibliofold, which allows Olivia to fold into the Earth Vellumental. After the Vellumental's defeat, all the Earth Magic Circles activate, and the Koopa Troopas in Picnic Road return to the temple. Olivia uses the Earth Vellumental's power to lift the rock that they had fallen onto. Once raised, Mario can gain access to a pipe in the upper left that leads to the beginning of the temple, (at the fallen statue).
