Hi there

You messaged me about the "Proposed deletion of Ernest McGillicuddy". I have no qualms about deleting this as it's now a blank page following my removal of the redirect to Reg McGillicuddy, who seems to have no link to Ernest, whoever that is. However, you've added the proposed deletion template to the Reg McGillicuddy talk page, which I presume is unintended. While you stated in your message that I can remove the proposed deletion notice, one thing I've learnt editing Wikipedia for 20 years now is that I don't remove deletion notices without ensuring the editor who added it knows beforehand.

Also, while your message to me is presumably a cut and paste, the reason you give me for Ernest McGillicuddy's proposed deletion ("Ernest" not mentioned in article previously redirected to Reg McGillicuddy) is what I commented when deleting the redirect and makes me think you have messaged the wrong person.

Let me know if I have this wrong.
