Disambiguation link notification for March 6
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Camarasaurus lentus, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Carnegie Museum. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Good Work
[edit]Your recent work on pages related to the Morrison Formation has been really good, keep it up! Cheers, -TimTheDragonRider (talk) 08:44, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you! I’ll keep up the good work, currently working on Diplodocus and then I will start redoing the Dystrophaeus & Suuwassea pages as they aren’t very detailed. Great job on the Morrison Paleobiota list overhaul so far, it’s looking great! Augustios Paleo (talk) 19:16, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

June 2022
[edit]Hi Augustios Paleo! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Glyptotherium that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 15:39, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
Good Article nomination
[edit]Augustios Paleo, your recent edit to the Good Article nominations page was undone by the bot that builds the page: that isn't how you go about nominating an article. Please see the GA instructions page for the way to go about nominating Glyptotherium. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions or need assistance. Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Augustios Paleo! Your additions to Xenodens have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. CC BY-NC-ND is not a compatible license. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 16:41, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Cryolophosaurus into Glacialisaurus. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 19:14, 13 August 2022 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:LiornisfloweriAmeghino1895Types.PNG
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:LiornisfloweriAmeghino1895Types.PNG. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:00, 23 September 2022 (UTC)

DYK for Glacialisaurus
[edit]On 26 December 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Glacialisaurus, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Glacialisaurus, meaning 'icy lizard', got its name from its discovery site in the Beardmore Glacier? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Glacialisaurus. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Glacialisaurus), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Titanis
[edit]Hi -- it looks like you have an unclosed strike tag at the FAC? More importantly, though, it looks like you're striking reviewer's comments? The convention is that you let the reviewer strike them -- that way the reviewer can decided for themselves if an issue has been addressed. I would suggest undoing those edits, which will also fix the strike tag. Not all reviewers strike, and there's no need to worry about it -- it's the Support that matters, not whether there are unstruck comments. Little help
[edit]Hello Augustios Paleo, as you are currently doing extensive work on various Antarctic dinosaurs, I thought if you could help me with a possible expansion of the article regarding the mosasaur Kaikaifilu, and more particularly its "palaeoecology" section. Indeed, although I think I have gone through all that has to be said about the Lopez de Bertodano Formation, I think I have missed some elements concerning him, which is why I am asking you for help. - Sure I’ll work on the paleoecology and I have some edits that I think could help in the description section. AFH (talk) 19:35, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- Augustios Paleo, thanks a lot for the answer, still waiting for the results ! Amirani1746 (talk) 06:21, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- I’ll get to that later today. AFH (talk) 12:40, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- Put in some info on the formation. If you think I should add more let me know, but I think this is sufficient for a paleoenvironment section. AFH (talk) 01:50, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- Augustios Paleo I think it's very well developed (and thank you for that), but miscellaneous information, it looks like it had dinosaurs, just like in the Snow Hill Island Formation with Taniwhasaurus. Amirani1746 (talk) 07:20, 2 August 2023 (UTC)

[edit]The article Brontosaurus you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Brontosaurus for comments about the article, and Talk:Brontosaurus/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has never appeared on the Main Page as a "Did you know" item, and has not appeared within the last year either as "Today's featured article", or as a bold link under "In the news" or in the "On this day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear at DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On this day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. DYK nomination of Brontosaurus
[edit]Hello! Your submission of Brontosaurus at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) at your nomination's entry and respond there at your earliest convenience. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Andrew🐉(talk) 20:42, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- No formally published refutations of the study have been made and it is largely the consensus for sauropod paleontology. Also, I speak specifically of Tschopp et Al’s study, so this would still adhere to that rule. AFH (talk) 07:59, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
DYK for Tylocephale
[edit]On 24 August 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Tylocephale, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Tylocephale), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Links to user pages and sandboxes
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to user pages or sandboxes, as you did at Apatosaurinae. Since these pages have not been accepted as articles, user pages, sandboxes and drafts are not suitable for linking in articles. and such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been deleted, please do not re-add any such links, thank you - Arjayay (talk) 11:03, 6 September 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Emmanuel Tschopp
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Emmanuel Tschopp requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
