Appearance

Giacomo is a young man with neck length black hair that spikes out at the sides, black eyes, and olive skin. He is much taller than Ortega, but noticeably shorter than Eri.

As a Team Star boss he wears a black with white accents jacket over a blueS or yellowV vest with the Team Star logo, and a white button down, along with black leggings and white high top sneakers with pink and green accents. He wears a white cap some pink and green accents similar to his shoes, and black headphones with a Poké Ball design on them. He has a black backpack with orange and green straps.

As a student he wears the New Spring Uniform with no cap, dull orange socks the same as the jumper, and brown shoes.

Character profile

Giacomo is relied on by the rest of Team Star for bringing the team together and enacting plans with care. He is reportedly known to hold one-man surprise DJ concerts.[2]

Before the formation of Team Star, Giacomo was elected the president of the Naranja AcademyS/Uva AcademyV student council, but the student conduct policies he proposed were so unintuitive and strict that he lost all support. After only a short time in office, he was forced out by the students, who elected Nemona as his replacement. Humiliated and alone, Giacomo found solace and companionship among a group of students who were similarly victims of bullying and ostracism at the school, and they went on to create Team Star. Despite his doubts, the other bosses of Team Star encouraged him to codify Team Star's current code of conduct, which the group follows to this day. He is described by Cassiopeia as a sharp and strategic guy.

Giacomo's age is unknown, barring that he is not in the same grade as the player.

He appears along with the rest of the Team Star bosses when Penny is defeated, after which he can be rematched daily at the Segin Squad's Base.

Post-game

Additionally, Penny and the player can eavesdrop on several conversations between Team Star bosses, including one with Ortega and Giacomo. In this conversation they reveal that while the teachers were welcoming after the truth about Team Star's intentions was revealed, the students weren't. Giacomo yelling a greeting at everyone in the academy, like Ryme does at her shows. While Penny and Ortega don't have much faith in this plan, a few students see this and begin to think Team Star isn't as scary as they previously thought.

Once a close bond is formed with Penny, completing one full academy class, and finishing the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, Giacomo and Eri can be found in the entrance hall dressed in the regular school uniform. The player doesn't recognize them at first, but he quickly introduces himself. He explains that while he and Eri are managing to catch up, the other bosses are falling behind and need a tutor, which he asks the player to be. After the player tutors Team Star, Penny discovers them and Giacomo explains the situation.

Pokémon Adventures

Giacomo debuted in PASV04. He was first seen in Segin Squad's Base, where he and his subordinate Team Star Grunts accepted a declaration of war issued by Cassiopeia in Violet's name. After the Grunts were defeated, Giacomo stepped out to face Violet. Using his DJ skills, Giacomo tricked Violet and his Pokémon into unconsciously following the beat of his BGM, throwing off their movements. Once Violet saw through Giacomo's strategy, he immediately launched a counterattack and emerged victorious. Accepting his defeat, Giacomo stepped down as a boss before revealing that Team Star's prolonged truancy was because they were waiting for their true leader, the "big boss", to return to them.

In PASV10, Giacomo provided Arven with information on the location of the Open Sky Titan. Despite his loss, Giacomo admitted that Team Star was only waiting for their leader to return out of stubborness and thanked Violet and Arven for helping him realize that.
