Evolution move

Evolution moves are moves that are learned upon Evolution. This method of learning moves was introduced to the games in Generation VII.
Mechanics
After a Pokémon evolves, it immediately attempts to learn all Evolution moves for its evolved form (internally listed as being learned at level 0). As in previous generations, after this, it attempts to learn any moves that the evolved Pokémon learns at its current level.
In version 1.0 of Pokémon Sun and Moon, due to a bug, if a Pokémon attempted to learn an Evolution move, it would not attempt to learn any level-up moves that it could also learn at level 1; this was fixed in version 1.1 of Pokémon Sun and Moon as well as subsequent games.
List
- A dash (−) indicates a Pokémon does not learn any move by this method despite being available in that game/generation.
- An empty cell indicates a Pokémon that is unavailable in that game/generation.
Trivia
- Although Melmetal has an Evolution move assigned to it in Generations VII and VIII, it can only evolve from Meltan in Pokémon GO.
