Dragon Dance (Japanese: りゅうのまい Dragon Dance) is a non-damaging Dragon-type move introduced in Generation III. It was TR51 in Generation VIII, and is TM100 in Generation IX.

Effect

Dragon Dance raises the user's Attack stat and Speed stat by one stage each.

If powered up by a Dragonium Z into Z-Dragon Dance, all of the user's lowered stats are reset.

Dragon Dance can be used as the first move of a Pokémon Contest combination, causing Dragon Claw, Dragon Rage, and DragonBreath to score double the normal appeal if used in the next turn. It can also be used to finish a combination, with the user gaining 1 bonus appeal point if Dragon Rage or DragonBreath was used in the previous turn.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Dragon Dance is Dragonite's first move. It is obtained by evolving into Dragonair at level 5 and upgrading Twister into it instead of Extreme Speed. The user dashes in a designated direction, alternating each use between a left arc, right arc and a direct dash. After using this move, the move grants a buff increasing attack speed of the next 3 basic attacks, increasing movement speed, increasing Attack by 8% (capping at 24%), as well as increasing the stage of Hyper Beam. This buff stacks up to 3 times, and the duration is reset to full on reuse. All stacks are removed after a few seconds. Basic attacks reduce the cooldown of this ability by 1s. At level 11, the move further increases the user's movement speed if there are enemies nearby when the dance ends.
