Count Dracula, or better known as Dracula or simply Drac is the main protagonist of the Hotel Transylvania franchise.
In the first three films, he was voiced by Adam Sandler. In the fourth film and pet short, he was voiced by Brian Hull.
What Makes Him Love Exalted?[]
In General[]
- He cared deeply about his wife Martha and daughter Mavis.
- While he did teach Mavis to fear and hate humans, it was out of fear that he would lose her. This is also understandable as he lost his wife Martha at the hands of a group of angry humans.
- He built Hotel Transylvania for the safety of his daughter and for all monsters.
Hotel Transylvania[]
- While he did fool Mavis into thinking angry humans tried to attack her, he did this to encourage her not to go into the outside world for her safety.
- When a human set foot into the Hotel, he immediately went out of his way to hide him in a closet.
- While he initially considered killing him, he thought this out of fear, but ultimately did not go through with it, due to the thought of setting monsters back hundreds of years.
- Unable to get Johnny out, he does everything in his power to hide that Johnny was a human.
- He saves Johnny from being killed by Quasimodo and freezes the cook.
- He convinces Johnny not to go, seeing his daughter has feelings for him.
- When Mavis was crying about his deception and forcing Johnny out, he tries to comfort her, only to be pushed away.
- When he opens the gift Martha would posthumously give Mavis, he reads it and realizes the importance of letting others into his life and quickly sets out to fix his horrible mistake.
- He apologizes to his guests for deceiving them and admits he doesn’t know if humans are bad any longer.
- He asks for help in fixing his mistakes.
- He risks his life by revealing himself to the people at the monster festival to reach the airport to fix his mistake.
- He risks his life again to reach the plane Johnny was on and hypnotize the pilot to apologize to Johnny and to bring him back, fixing his mistake.
Hotel Transylvania 2[]
- He arranges Mavis and Johnny’s wedding.
- He tells Mavis she can marry whoever she wants, as long as she’s happy.
- He disguises his human guests as monsters to protect them from the unexpected arrival of his father.
Hotel Transylvania 3[]
- He saves Erika from being killed.
- He saves numerous people from being killed by the Kraken.
- He works with Johnny to soothe the Kraken.
- He saves Van Helsing from falling to his death after all he did.
