Peridot (specifically Peridot Facet-2F5L Cut-5XG) is a major character in the Steven Universe franchise.
She was voiced by Shelby Rabara.
What Makes Her Love Exalted?[]
- She helped save the Earth from the Cluster, building a drilling machine in order to go to the center of the Earth and stop it.
- She initially tried and failed to destroy the Cluster, but Steven came up with the idea to bubble it, saving Earth.
- She helped Smoky Quartz defeat Jasper and stop her plan to weaponize the corrupted gems.
- Prior to redeeming herself, she tried to make Yellow Diamond give up her plans to destroy the Earth, though to no avail.
- She constantly tried to make friends with Lapis, initially because she wanted to live in the Barn, but it became clear that she actually wanted to be friends with Lapis.
- She offered herself to the Ruby Squad who were about to fight the Crystal Gems, as she thought they were after her, when they really weren't.
- She helped Steven uncorrupt uncorrupted gems in the series finale.
- She cheered Steven up with Bismuth and Lapis in the movie.
- She stopped trying to get Steven to dream the end of their favorite series into the TV after seeing how bad he is mentally and apologizing for not realizing it before, calling herself a clod.
- She helped uncorrupt Steven after he turned into a monster by reminding him of how he helped her change to be a better person.
- Overall, as the story progresses, she has great character development and a well-written redemption.
