Earl Chou Ki was the lord of the City of Gyou.

Appearance[]

He was an old man with a long beard and mustache with graying hair. He wore the robes of a city lord and also the hat of an official.

Personality[]

He had a very kind personality and thinks it is more important to save the people than the strategical consequences.

History[]

He was a member of the royal family of Zhao and an uncle to the current king Tou Jou.

Story[]

Western Zhao Invasion Arc[]

During the Qin invasion, the kind-hearted earl allowed all the refugees, which were pursued by the combined Ou Sen Army and Kan Ki Army, into the city. The strategy of Ou Sen was to starve the city of Gyou while Kan Ki deflected the attacks of multiple nearby smaller Zhao armies, he did not directly attack Gyou. Chou Ki was unable to keep the city's gates from opening, due to the civilians wanting to go out instead of starve to death inside and committed suicide after being ashamed of the city's fall happening under his rule. Later on, Ou Sen and Yo Tan Wa went and took care of the bigger liberation armies.
