Ongekigen (音撃弦 lit. "Sound Attack Chord") is a string based Ongeki. They are usually in the form of a guitar, and are the string-type Oni's typical weapon of choice. Ongekigens are used like bladed eku in combat. The Onishi is typically situated at the end before the edge.
When it is time to finish off a Makamou, an Oni plugs their Ongekishin into their Ongekigen, which folds out the wings, forming the Ongekigen's guitar mode. The end is then thrust into the Makamou, allowing the Oni to play their Sound of Purification into and destroy the Makamou.

Cover[]
Zanki was deeply attached to his Ongeki Weapon, and created a protective cover specifically for his Ongekigen. The bespoke leather cover has a strap that allows him to carry his Ongekigen over his shoulder and head out to the scene.
Unlike Zanki, Todoroki has a dull appearance, but he continues to use this leather cover because of his respect for his master and ease of use. In order to quickly pull out Retsurai, which is a sword, there is no cover on the handle and it is exposed.
It is not shown whether the other Oni used it for their Ongekigen or not.
The Ongekigens[]
Ongekigen Retsurai (音撃弦・烈雷 lit. "Sound Attack Chord: Violent Thunder") is Todoroki's main Ongeki Weapon. Taking the Retsurai's Kengeki Mode along with his red-string Raigou, forms the Retsurai's Ongeki Mode. Plugging the end of the Retsurai into the Makamou, Todoroki utilizes the Sound of Purification by playing his guitar, the pure sound waves destroy the Makamou.
Zanki used yellow string on the Retsurai but when his disciple inherited it, Todoroki changed them to red strings. The Onishi is red and situated just before the tip of the blade.
Ongekigen Retsurai (音撃弦・烈雷 lit. "Sound Attack Chord: Violent Thunder") is Zanki's first Ongeki Weapon. Taking the Retsurai's Kengeki Mode along with his yellow-string Raigou, forms the Retsurai's Ongeki Mode. Plugging the end of the Retsurai into the Makamou, Zanki utilizes the Sound of Purification by playing his guitar, the pure sound waves destroy the Makamou.

Ongekishingen Retsuzan (音撃真弦・烈斬 lit. "Sound Attack True Chord: Fierce Cut") is Zanki's second Ongeki Weapon. Attaching the Zantetsu onto the Retsuzan while in its Kengeki Mode, forms the Retsuzan's Ongeki Mode. Plugging the end of the Retsuzan into the Makamou, Zanki utilizes Sound of Purification by playing into his guitar.
It has yellow chords and a yellow Onishi.
Ongekigen Enma (音撃弦・閻魔 lit. "Sound Attack Chord: Devil") is Sabaki's string-based Ongeki Weapon. Taking the Enma's Kengeki Mode along with the Gokuraku, forms the Enma's Ongeki Mode. Plugging the end of the Enma into the Makamou, Sabaki utilizes Sound of Purification by playing his guitar, the pure sound waves destroy the Makamou.
It has yellow chords and a red Onishi. In Sabaki's S.I.C. figure, it has black colored Onishi.
Kogata no Ongekigen (小型の音撃弦 lit. "Small-scaled Sound Attack Chord") is a pair of small version of Ongekigen. One of them is white (with red string and Onishi) and the other is yellow (with yellow string and Onishi).
In Hibiki Special Show Episode 13, this weapon was marked as Ongekishingen Ukulele (音撃真弦 ウクレレ, Ongekishingen Ukurere).
Ongekigen Togenkyo (音撃弦・刀弦響 lit. "Sound Attack String: Bladed Chord Echo") is Banki's main Ongeki Weapon. Taking the Tōgenkyō's Kengeki Mode along with the Jigoku, forms the Tōgenkyō's Ongeki Mode. Plugging the end of the Tōgenkyō into the Makamou, Banki utilizes the Sound of Purification by playing his guitar, the pure sound waves destroy the Makamou. Never seen in the series or movies.
On Banki's Rangers Strike
card, the Onishi is yellow and situated just before the tip of the blade.
In Banki's S.I.C. figure, the Tōgenkyō is a double necked guitar with two black colored Onisho. The Ongekigen can be split into two, to be used dually.
Ongekigen Kitara (音撃弦・鬼太樂, lit. "Sound Attack Chord: Demonic Great Music") is Kamen Rider Shuki's Ongeki Weapon. A harp-type Ongekigen, unlike other Oni's weapons, it was materialised into a physical form when needed, and no need to attaching Ongekishin on it.
By playing the strings, Shuki can shoot waves of Ongeki, and use it for both attack and defense. The musical instrument used as the motif is not a harp, but an instrument called cithara.
In S.I.C. Super Collection VOL.2, Kitara is shown in the form of a harp guitar. The design uses a half of Zanki's Retsuzan.
