Two Anniversaries In One Day!

Well nearly, just the second post today showing an Anniversary card. In reality the Anniversaries are a day apart, this ones for my Brother and his wife. I know I've used the Cricut again and cut hearts, again, but you have to admit that hearts are just the perfect thing to add to an anniversary card.

I cut a couple of squares, one from pearly card and embossed the flat white one using the Cuttlebug and a Script folder.

Added a length of ribbon and a bow which is held in place with a length of cream hemp and a button, job done.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
LIM65, Sketch,
Pixie Dust 124, Embossing,
Divas by Design 32, Buttons and bows,

A First Anniversary

Morning! Weather update, rain again :( thought that after the most beautiful day we had yesterday that the rain had left us. Oh well,on to today's card-
A really simple Anniversary card for my gorgeous niece and her husband, I can't believe that on Monday they will have been married a year!

Two hearts of different sizes cut on the Cricut using Plantins Schoolbook, stitched together using Hemp and mounted onto the card using Pinflair Gel. A scalloped border and a sentiment made that bit more special topped with one of the gorgeous  Swarovski Crystals, it's a shame that the photo doesn't do it justice, it's the most gorgeous, twinkly bling you ever did see! If you don't believe me you need to treat yourself so you can be the judge!

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

Simply Male

Morning, you'll never guess, the suns out this morning, Yayyy!!!! There might be rain later but for the time being the suns rays are beaming in through the windows.
I've lots of jobs to do today but I thought I'd share an ultra quick card I made the other evening first. I had no time to colour up one of my fabulous LCI Teenager images,  so I had to resort to a couple of die cuts.

I couldn't believe my luck,I looked in my paper box and found a square of this gorgeous pearlescent black and white paper that I was to be addicted to a few years back. It's perfect for a bit of impact for a male card. It doesn't show up too well but the paper is matted onto foiled red card along with the embossed panel.

A bit of inky stitching to the star, a punched hole with a swing tag tied through and stamped with LCI stamp "Today" grounded with a spot of Pinflair Gel.  Three black eyelets and the inside decorated to reflect the front completes the card.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
PDS124, Embossing,
Crafts and Me 81, Embossing,
Waste Not Wednesday 16, Forgotten Stash,
DOC24, Die cuts and punches,

Get Your Girly On With Southern Girls

Evening all, me again, this time I'm back with my DT card for Southern Girls where the challenge this time is
"Get Your Girly On" that's an easy one that's for sure!  And with the amazing sponsors this time it's just got to tempt you! Check out the challenge to find full details of all the sponsors!

I was lucky enough to be given products from two of the sponsors.
The gorgeous "Party" image and "Surprise" are both by Stampotique. I coloured the image using Copics and added glossy accents to the balloon and plenty of stickles everywhere else.

The lovely Vixypink digi paper pack is from Eiglassing  I have used them both inside and outside of my card. The one on the front is  stunning with the graduation of colour to the edge, saved me from doing my usual inked edges!
Luckily some recycled ribbon from a birthday cake matched the colours perfectly but to make it look even more girly I topped it with some lace, three purple roses and some pearl  topped pins.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Inky Impressions, Anything goes,
Little Darlings, Flowers,
Simon Says Stamp, Anything goes,
Scrap Creations, It's a girl thing,
RCC50, Anything goes,
Tuesday Throwdown 95, Use sparkle,
Timeless Tuesday 166, centre vertical line, bingo.

That's it from me for today, scroll down for my earlier post.

Starring Two Buttons!

My word, what a lot of rain we've been having of late. It's hard to believe that we have a water shortage here in Kent! Well at least the water butt is full for when the warmer weather comes as we have a hose pipe ban!

Onto today's challenge at Scrapbook Sisters where the theme this week is a recipe, "One Circle,Two Buttons"!

For my DT card I used a selection of papers, a Nestie die to cut an off set circle from a larger circle cut using the Cricut and Plantins Schoolbook, some Xcut Nesting Stars on Pinflair gel to sit around the frame, and a generous amount of TH distress inks to make my papers more rugged and manly lol!

Some inky stitching and 2 buttons tied together with some string complete the card.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
PTT65, Anything goes and Kraft,
AWNB6, Anything goes,
MIM86, Anything goes.

Ding Dong The Bells Are Gonna Chime

Is this a good enough clue to the theme for this week's challenge at Scrapbook Sisters????? no?
Well just for you then,
the theme for Week 80 is Wedding Card .

I wasn't sure what I was going to do for my DT card but whilst browsing round Paperchase with my youngest I came across the most delicate piece of paper, it was marked as tissue but it reminds me of.... I think it was called Angel Hair paper that I used to use when I first started making cards many moons ago. You use to use a wet paintbrush around the edge before pulling it, giving a delicate rough edge.

Anyway, I'm getting side tracked. The tissue has delicate silver and gold flecks amongst the fibre, beautiful in real life but I'm afraid the photo doesn't do it justice.
I sprayed my card with glue, carefully placed the paper on top and left it to dry for a few minutes before cutting it to size. The hearts I cut on the Cricut using Plantins Schoolbook but this was done a few hours later giving the glue plenty of time to dry, I was chuffed that it worked and so thought I'd push my luck and use an Xcut border punch on it as well to create the scallops.

To my amazement it worked although the punch did groan slightly as the layers were a touch thick together.

I touched the edges of the cuts with a silver ink pad, unfortunately it looks a bit darker in the photo than it actually is.  A stamped sentiment added, some gorgeous bling, card complete.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Lexis 63, Punches and Dies,
Paper Sundaes 116, Anything goes,
MIM85, Anything goes.

Happy crafting!

It's A Doodle

I love a bit of a doodle so wanted to make an entry for this week's LIM challenge. Unfortunately my camera is trying to spoil things for me and my photo looks less than clear (or is it my eyes???)  This little cutie and the sentiment is from Ladybug Crafts Ink, I bought the set a while back and this is the first time I've inked it up. I stamped the image over the edge of the 3x3 card and doodled around the edge of the card using a copic fineliner.
By the way, Kerry had a few technical problems so has decided to extend the half price cling stamp sale to allow for the early troubles, what a result for the rest of us ;)

I'm using this card for the following challenge:-
LIM63, One layer doodling.

This Is What Life Is All About

I had so much fun colouring up Skateboarder Josh today,I even found myself searching out Skateboard shops to get an idea of how to colour up his deck (get me, lol!) I ended up with giving it a non specific flame type colour effect,I might try something else another time, maybe some transfers or stickers, my daughter thought that this looked fine though.

I followed a sketch again, not something I generally do but I enjoyed adapting it to suit my needs.

I embossed both of the strips using different embossing folders and rubbed them over directly with a TH distress ink pad, I distressed the edges of the rest of the papers and even the twine to take away the white, clean look.

I'm enjoying using the stapler at the moment, I even stapled a couple of die cut stars together. A LCI sentiment and some inky stitching and my card's complete. (I'll add the name of the paper pad I used tomorrow)

Skateboard Josh is from the new Teenager digi range at Ladybug Crafts Ink, where you can find 14 different images altogether, suitable for boys and girls.
The Cling Stamp Sale is on until Saturday if you fancy grabbing yourself a bargain.

Everyone's Favourite.

Morning, happy Wednesday!!!!
Can you guess from my start that it's a lovely sunny morning :~D
It's everyone's favourite challenge this week at Scrapbook Sister. The theme is "Anything Goes"

In need of a card for a teenage boy I thought I'd use an old favourite design of mine and make a Tag card for my DT sample.

I used Plantin's Schoolbook to cut the tags and numbers and nesting dies for the "stamp" stapling my greeting to it before placing it using foam pads.

I used lots of ink distressing, some paper string which I unravelled and stapled across the DP and using hemp to tie on a recycled button.

I used  a brown Sharpie to change the colour of my brads and a selection of strings hemp and ribbon to thread through the tag, joining with some tied buttons. I also used a date stamp to add the boys birthday to the inside DP.

I'm using my card for the following challenges:-
Simply Sunday, Favourite project,
Craft Your Passion 105, Shaped cards,
MIM84, Anything goes,
Love To Create 10, Birthday,

Just Gorjuss!

I used to colour up this Gorjuss girl all of the time, I'm feeling guilty that she's been neglected but I bet I'm not the only one to get carried away using new images over old.

The bit I love about this image is colouring those stripy stockings, aren't they the best to play with!

I used some scrummy Pink Polka Dot Bias Binding from LCI (don't forget to check out their 1/2 price Cling stamp sale) , added some rik rak on top and some punched flowers with large pearl centres.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

Shape Up

Morning Crafters, have you eaten all your chocolate yet? I haven't but maybe that's because I didn't get any!
It's Totally Ladybug Tuesday and Sally came up with a brilliant theme for our, post Easter Challenge. She wants us all to "Shape Up" or rather, use shapes in our creations this fortnight.

I thought I'd do a side stepped card setting a little grassy scene for Magnum and his mower to sort out.

I used the Cricut and Plantin's Schoolbook to create the grass, layering it up and adding it to the steps along with my Copic Coloured image. Look at that cheeky Lily, relaxing whilst Magnum does all the hard work!

I used a selection of papers and die cuts along with some buttons tied with hemp to create my required shapes.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Lawnscaping 31,Colouring,
Love To Create 10, Birthday,
Make It Monday 84, Anything goes,

A couple of die cuts, a bit of embossing, the quickest of colouring and a stamped and layered sentiment. Even cutting round Magnum and Lily took only a few minutes. I shaped the image slightly and popped it on my card with a squib of pinflair gel.

Sweet Treats!

I'm always saying this but I don't know where the time goes, the first week of my Easter break has already past and although I planned to get some major crafting in, it just hasn't happened.  The children have been busy all week and I suppose that lots of my time has gone by playing Taxi, how lovely it is that they're making the most of their break, going out instead of staying home like they usually do, my babies are growing up fast!

Kerry, had a little brain wave yesterday and decided to give us all a calorie free Easter gift from Ladybug Crafts Ink, how great is that! There are so many beautiful cling stamps to choose from and whilst you're there, why not take a look at the stunning range of digis too, you don't even have to wait very long for delivery where they are concerned either.

Here's a card I made using one of the new Teenager Digis,  First car Josh. it all started with me playing with my xcut stamp dies, I was trying to see if I could use them to cut a shaped card like I do with my nestabilities. Yay!!! it does, I just folded my card and cut close to the edge but then cut another full stamp in my DP. Now, it was my sons 16th birthday on Thursday, you might remember that I used Xbox Josh for his card made a while back. I know that this is way in advance but to be honest I was just playing with an idea, I coloured Josh up, added a reg  to the number plate,I used one of those date stamps, was a good job that I used my copic to ink the stamp as the first time I placed it I did it upside down. LOL! used the blender to remove it before going in again. The postage mark is part of a Forever Friends set I bought the other year.

I'm using my card for the following challenges:-
Allsorts 149, Bingo diagonal line from top left,
With Attitude 10, Anything goes,

On to today's challenge and my DT card for Scrapbook Sister's where the new Challenge is Man's Birthday.

I  made a frame card, used Echo Park papers around the edge and scraps to hand cut the bunting. I coloured up missed a bit Magnum, teaming him with Garden Bench Delights and used the Cricut and Plantins Schoolbook cartridge to cut the grass.

The sentiment was computer generated and placed between the blades of grass and DAD was cut using Quickutz Moxi Alphabet.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
GGWSC, Birthday,
Cards for men 7, Great outdoors,

On Your Bike.

Hi everyone, how's your weekend been? did you get caught with any April Fools? It's been a lovely bright day today, but a bit on the chilly side.

I've had a lucky couple of weeks for a change, what with my candy win I told you about and a couple of challenge wins. I was in the top 3 at "Card Crafter's Circle" and I chose this gorgeous Antique Bicycle Digi Milk Coffee Stamps isn't it cute, makes me want to eat chocolate flake lol!

I thought I'd make a vintage, country style looking card, I am really pleased with how it came out. I went a bit mad with my inky stitching and was a bit like a wild woman zig zagging without much care but I ended up with exactly the look I was after and even decorated the inside straight away in a similar style. Sadly I have now used most of my lovely This&That papers by Echo Park I was able to place my square nestability between previous cuts to form my patchwork squares. inking the edges with T.H. distress inks to add to the vintage feel. A length of my candy win lace and a recycled blouse button and my cards complete, except for the sentiment and stamped butterfly.

I'm using my card for the following challenges:-
Stampalot April, Birthday,
Speedy Fox 101, Square,
SCH5, Vintage,shabby chic Birthday,
Cardmadfairys 30, Die cuts,
Truly Scrumptious 77,Use lace.
