Is It Spring... or Still Autumn? (紅葉の季節に春が来る?, Kōyō no Kisetsu ni Haru ga Kuru?, "Will Spring Come In Autumn?") is the one hundred and twentieth chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Itsuki admires the Levin, and realises that the car is turbocharged. Kazumi Akiyama comes over and asks him what he's doing with the car, and asks him if he was going to key it because it's from a different prefecture. Itsuki is outraged that she'd suggest such a thing and storms off. Kazumi's brother Wataru returns to the car, and tells her that he's found the hotel they're heading to on a map.

At the gas station, Yuichi asks Takumi why he thinks the new engine is less powerful, and Takumi tells him that it's harder to drive. Yuichi reckons that it's because the engine has a lot more power, and lets it slip that he knows about the engine.

Wataru tells Kazumi not to cause any trouble for their aunt at the hotel, and Kazumi tells him that he'd better not head to Akagi to race the FC.

That evening, Yuichi calls Bunta to ask about the new engine, telling him what Takumi had said earlier. Bunta tells him that Takumi is right, and says that it should be easy for him to figure out. Yuichi is confused, and Bunta says he'll explain later, before hanging up to deal with customers.

Itsuki is bored out on a walk, when he spots Kazumi buying yakitori from a street vendor. She goes to pay, but realises she's short by 10 yen, and the vendor can't take any of the larger bills that she has as he has no change. Itsuki gives her 10 yen. Itsuki tells her she doesn't have to pay him back, but she insists, and asks where she could find him. Itsuki tells her that he works at the gas station down the road, and she says that she works at an inn nearby. She apologises for what she had said earlier, explaining that most people aren't so nice about the Eight-Six. She asks that the two can be friends, before walking off. Itsuki feels his heart beat a little louder.
