Mikayla is Tulip Olsen's best friend and a minor character that appears in the first few minutes of the first episode of Infinity Train Book One.
Appearance[]
Mikayla is a teenage girl of African descent with dark skin and freckles. She has a brown Afro and a piercing on the top of her left ear. Mikayla wears a mulberry puffer jacket, a yellow shirt, dark grayish purple pants, violet shoes ,and a raspberry headband.
Personality[]
Mikayla is shown to be a bit of a teaser. She cares about Tulip's feelings and dislikes when she is unhappy.
History[]
At one point in her life, Mikayla befriended Tulip. They both attend the same middle school, North Middle Branch. She did not share in Tulip's video game design aspirations due to not caring much for games, but she liked Tulip's when she tried it out.[1]
When Tulip's parents were getting divorced, she tried to offer her support, but Tulip was in denial about the circumstances leading to the divorce and so ignored Mikayla's efforts.[2]

The Grid Car[]
As Mikayla and Tulip get of the bus, the two girls talk about Tulip's upcoming visit to game design camp in Oshkosh until they reach near Tulip's house. Mikayla broaches the subject of the divorce, noting she's glad Tulip's mother and father are talking again, but Tulip quickly changes the subject.
The Cat's Car[]
Mikayla makes an appearance in Tulip's Memory Tapes. Both girls are on a school bus and are yelling about popcorn in a bucket.
The Chrome Car[]
Tulip's reflection reminds Tulip how much she cut herself off from the world after the divorce by highlighting how she would skip texts from Mikayla, with the excuse that she was too busy making her video game.
