Buttercup is the middle of the three Powerpuff Girls and one of the three main protagonists of The Powerpuff Girls 2016 series. Her main ingredient is spice and her main color is green. Among the girls, Buttercup was named second.
She is voiced by Natalie Palamides.

- While Buttercup did take advantage of being with the Derpytantes more than her sisters, she realized that the Derpytantes were paid by Morbucks and now she's gonna help her sisters instead of working with the Derpytantes. However, she's willing to accept their apology making them work with them again (only because it's to play the Deathball game).
- Buttercup and Blossom are trying to find Bubbles after when they thought she was missing.
- Buttercup stopped Allegro from brainwashing all of the citizens and made them go crazy especially saving her sisters.
- She stopped Manboy from destroying the whole entire fair.
- Buttercup stopped Bianca.
- Buttercup stopped Packrat and saved Bubbles' doll Octi from being destroyed by the car crusher.
- When Buttercup discovered her new powers, she use it against the giant pig and stopped him from destroying the entire Townsville.
- She stopped Sapna from turning into a spider and saved her.
- When Blossom needed help from her sisters, she stopped a bunch of evil ghosts who attempted to take over the world.
- She and the girls stopped Ghosthorse (Janitar) from turning everyone into human and animals mixed together.

- When Donny is revealed to be chased by a evil robot unicorn, she's going to protect Donny and stop the unicorn. When she couldn't stop the unicorn, she instead protected Donny just so he can't get hurt.
- She stopped the dancing guy who ended up making everyone dance especially her sisters.
- Buttercup stop a horde of puppies by doing cute things around them and instead attacking them, she dance with them together.
- She felt remorse after when she catch the most legendary lobster and then put him back into the ocean rather than just giving the lobster away for an reward.
- She stopped Morbucks and Mojo Jojo after when Morbucks is going to steal the girls place as a Powerpuff Girl while Mojo is going to ruin Morbucks' party.
- She stopped the Brosharks and saved the entire beach from being taken.
- When she realized that the person is just wearing a superhero costume, Buttercup wanted to get smaller again by doing normal exercises, save her sisters, and stopped Gnat that is spraying the entire Townsville.
- Instead of showing the footage of Professor fighting and defeating Silico, she instead showed footage of Professor being nice, kind, will always be there for the girls and hang out with them just so she can make the Professor happy which makes the Professor really proud of them.

- She tricked Jemmica since Jemmica lied to her by getting the Death Bomb she needed and destroy it.
- She stopped Gnat from stealing all of the jars in Townsville.
- She stopped Mojo multiple times in Toy Ploy.
- She stopped a bunch of robots who tries to cheat to beat Derpytantes.

- She got her and her sisters' powers back just so they can stop Mojo.

- Buttercup stopped a girl who turned into her and stole her powers.
- She stopped Jemmica by using Mojo's slow-motion gun.
- She let Blossom and Maylyn reveal the video on the tape as fast as they could while Buttercup attacks their enemies so that Blossom and Maylyn can clear their names and prove their innocent.
- She stopped the Professor and saved him from turning into a pig monster.
- She stopped Polly using the vacuum and stopped his team.
- She stopped Gnat from frying all of the citizens.
- She stopped Lester and shrink him.
- She wanted to buy a mug for the Professor to make him feel happy but all of the mugs in the stores are destroyed.
- She stopped Daisy from taking over the Professor's house.
- She stopped Mojo and resisted her ice cream she bought from Mojo which ended up her being frozen.
- She didn't want to tell Barry that he's not really a superhero because Barry will cry about it so she wanted Blossom and Bubbles to not tell Barry that he's not a superhero.
- She felt remorse after when she used the villains as her allies just so she can fight them.
- She stopped the Gangreen Gang and let the Professor win so that he gets his hat back.
- She wanted what's best for the Professor as she didn't trust the bad scientists since they attempt to steal his lab.
- She felt remorse for being such a jerk to Bubbles after when Bubbles broke her comic on accident and turned into Buttercup's tail, she also stopped Mojo from destroying Townsville.

What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- Buttercup is mostly overconfident, selfish, and sarcastic making her too jerky to quality as NPG or PG.
- She left Blossom behind and rather go into Morbucks' party where Blossom is not invited.
- She rather look for something valuable she want than helping her sisters fight.
- She didn't return the golf ball that is not even hers and rather keep it to herself.
- She sabotaged Daisy which ended up making things worse.
- She became jealous of Bubbles when Bubbles become the most popular teammate of the Derpytantes while Buttercup is just sitting on the sidelines even though she technically wanted Bubbles in the team to begin with.
- She wanted to win the race for herself even though she's supposed to work together with her sisters.
- She barried Professor Utonium's robot just so she won't see the robot again for being annoying while it's Professor's beloved robot.
- She tried hiding Octi just so Bubbles can't find Octi all because she lost a game due to Bubbles' doll, Octi.
- She tried sabotaging the Schedule Bot but then ended up activating destructive mode on him which also ended up destroying the house.
- She tries bribing Bubbles to invite her to the concert just so she can see her favorite band while Bubbles can't even decide. Buttercup even tried rap battling just so she can goes to the concert with Bubbles when they only have 2 tickets since Blossom wanted to go as well. She also takes advantage of jinxing Blossom so that she won't go to the concert and then not letting her use ice breath against the lava lady.
- Buttercup started becoming a berserker and didn't want to take anger management which ended up making her trying to kill Manboy all because he made fun of her, continues to destroy the entire fair even when Manboy is defeated, and hurt Bubbles. While she did take anger management later on, she still didn't fully reject her anger which keeps her from still being a berserker.
- She ended up turning Bubbles' project into a monster.
- She wanted a bajillion dollars so she made a bet with Blossom that she can go to space without being scared even though she's likely not gonna go to space at some point which makes her greedy.
- She pretends to go to outer space by putting up space decorations in the Professor's garage just so she can prove she's not a coward, which makes her a liar.
- She tried being as big as another superhero just so she can prove herself that she's a superhero.
- She rather goes into Bubbles' side instead of Blossom without even being sure if she trusted Bubbles to be the leader.
- While she did resist the ice cream she bought from Mojo, she still won't assist in buying chocolate from Mojo, even though it's going to make things worse.
- Buttercup sometimes antagonize her foes.
- Buttercup is willing to make fun of people.
- For example, she made fun of Miss Keane's school lessons and literally made fun of what she said.
- Buttercup also made fun of Bubbles' messed up photo.
- Buttercup made fun of old people and yet called them smelly people.
- There are times where she is irresponsible and refused to listen.
- She didn't take responsibility of drinking the potion that made the girls older because she drinks the whole entire potion instead of a little which made her turn into a grandma while the Professor said to only drink a little.
- She didn't take responsibility of taking care of her sisters who were sick and she rather watch her television instead, even if she did save her sisters later on who turned into the pigs, she still shows no remorse for it and is still going to watch her television.
- She refused to listen to the Professor when she made a reckless decision which makes her ended up on another universe where things are mostly the opposite.
- She refused to listen to Bubbles about Bianca since Bianca is the villain but Buttercup easily trusted Bianca when she said that Mojo and Barbarus are going to destroy the entire Townsville using a bomb even though Mojo and Barbarus are just having a wedding. Even when she couldn't find the bomb, she continues destroying the wedding until she figured out Bianca lied to her.
- She wanted to stay all night watching Space Towtruck while the Professor said that they're supposed to sleep.
- When the Professor said to not look at his secrets, she instantly read Professor's journal that is full of secrets just so she can predict the future.
- She lost the Professor's hat to the Gangreen Gang even though the Professor told not to touch his hat while Buttercup didn't listen.
- When the Professor said to don't go on his lab, Buttercup ended up messing around with the Professor's lab and then turned Blossom into her future self while trying to turn her back into normal.
- She didn't want to work together with Bubbles which ended up Buttercup messing around with the Professor's lab that made Bubbles turn into Buttercup's tail. She also wanted Bubbles to do nothing since she became Buttercup's tail at some point.
- She is lethal because she is willing to hurt innocent civilians and her own sisters for petty reasons.
- She didn't want to watch the ruby until she got forced by Blossom to watch it, she even beated up a bunch of innocent citizens because she thought they might stole the ruby, she also arrested them later on.
- She punched Bubbles just because Bubbles punched her even though it was an accident as Bubbles only wanted to punch the monster.
- She started beating up her sisters and Mojo thinking that one of them was the pig monster even though she has no evidence if they're a monster or not.
- She is willing to fight more than anything, here are some examples:
- While Mojo or her enemies is defeated, she continues fighting them all because it's for fun.
- She becomes the fog just so she can have a fun fighting a horde of villains.
- Unlike her original counterpart, she only feels very little remorse for her actions, and sometimes does not try to fix them.
