Synopsis
Romeo and Donna-Marie have a falling out when Rayne is revealed to have been scammed by a fake cancer charity. Charlie struggles with his place in the family. Mercedes meets with Bobby.
Plot
Mercedes tells Felix that Bobby wants to see her. He realises Warren convinced Bobby and let Mercedes think it was Felix. Romeo wants to talk about Brent. Darren prepares to tell his family news about the surgery. Warren talks Felix out of telling Mercedes that Warren spoke to Bobby. Rayne manages to evade Romeo's questions about Brent. She wants him to DJ at her event later but Donna-Marie wants to see him. Darren is annoyed as Charlie doesn't seem to care about Darren needing to take Morgan to America. Darren has managed to get Charlie reinstated with the acting head at Hollyoaks High School and asks him to step up whilst he's away.
Donna-Marie and James are unimpressed that Romeo would rather help Rayne than meet with Juliet's specialist over video call. James hasn't heard of Rayne's charity and is suspicious. Ethan and Darren comfort each other over their problems. Rayne begins her auction. A bidder goes crazy for the first date and crazily outbids her rival, winning with £200. Romeo is enraged when James and Donna-Marie turn up with Sam. James reveals that the charity is fake.
Darren struggles with the housework. Oscar asks Charlie for help designing a family tree. Brooke points out that they all have different parents, but have Darren in common. Jack reminds Charlie that Darren has played a far bigger role in his life than Justin. Ethan arrives at the house and worries as Darren is in a bad mood. James and Donna-Marie accuse Rayne of being malicious, but Sam reveals that the scam has hit a range of influencers. Romeo defends Rayne and the argument worsens. Rayne insults Donna-Marie over Juliet shutting her out of her treatment, earning her a slap.
Mercedes visits Bobby at the unit. Bobby confronts her over her relationship with Felix. He reveals that Warren visited him and he needs Mercedes. Charlie is angry that Darren has had him look after Oscar without tidying up. Mercedes is appreciative to Warren. Bobby watches over two kids playing chess, claiming to be "teaching them the rules of the game" by telling them where to put their pieces. Donna-Marie accuses Rayne of isolating Romeo from his sister. Romeo says that it's not fair Juliet has cancer - it should be Donna-Marie. Charlie ignores Darren's text and begins smoking weed in The Folly.
