Lady Tamayo (珠世) is a major character of of the 2016-2020 dark fantasy manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and its 2019 anime adaptation.

She is an ancient demon, but also an incredibly talented doctor, making her a unique and valuable ally to Tanjiro Kamado. She is accompanied by her loyal companions, Yushiro and Chachamaru. She once served under Muzan Kibutsuji albeit against her will, and after being freed by Yoriichi Tsugikuni, vowed to kill him in order to atone for her deeds as a demon.

As the epic battle between humanity and demons reaches its climax, Tamayo and her companions decides to join forces with the Demon Slayer Corps. Together, they embark on a mission to create a groundbreaking drug that could potentially turn the tides in their favor and ensure the downfall of the formidable Muzan Kibutsuji. In fact, she has made it a personal mission to utilize her vast medical knowledge and skills to aid and assist those who are suffering from injuries or illnesses. Among the fortunate recipients of her care and attention is Tanjiro Kamado, who has benefitted immensely from her selfless acts of healing and guidance.

Tamayo had a vehement aversion towards violence, opting to abstain from killing humans to obtain their blood. Instead, she made the conscious decision to purchase blood from individuals who willingly donated, ensuring her survival without resorting to harm. Tamayo's steadfast belief in non-violence extended to her role as a mentor to her assistant, Yushiro, as she consistently admonished him for his tendency to physically harm others. It becomes apparent that Tanjiro and Kagaya share a common goal, as both harbor a fervent desire to eliminate the nefarious Muzan Kibutsuji. After Kagaya Ubuyashiki requested Tamayo's assistance in exterminating Muzan once and for all, she willingly accepted his offer. Instantly, she was acquainted with Shinobu, as their respective expertise in drugs and poisons perfectly complemented each other's abilities.

At the beginning, there was a lack of trust between Tamayo and Shinobu. Tamayo, being a demon, was initially afraid to trust a Demon Slayer, especially one as high-ranking as a Hashira. On the other hand, Shinobu had her own fears and prejudices against Tamayo because of her demon status. However, as they worked together to create the humanization drug and anti-Kibutsuji concoction, a remarkable transformation took place in their relationship. They began to develop a genuine friendship and deep respect for each other. Tamayo was genuinely amazed by Shinobu's exceptional talent in poisons, while Shinobu was deeply moved by Tamayo's sincere efforts to make amends for her past actions and impressed by her incredible skills as a doctor.
