Sunny (Xaveco in the original) is one of the supporting characters in the comics and cartoons of Monica's Gang. He is one of the best friends of Jimmy Five and sometimes accomplices in their plans to defeat Monica. He is very unlucky and is always displaced from other characters.
He is often made center of the jokes from the protagonists of the comic that disrespects just because he is an insignificant and useless character in the stories (mainly Jimmy Five), despite this making him a character as charismatic as the own main characters.He has an older sister named Crystal and has a love interest for Denise.
He is voiced by Jason Marsden, who is well known for voicing Kovu from The Lion King 2, Haku from Spirited Away, Maxwell Goof from Goofy film series, Paco from Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and Nermal from The Garfield Show.
Appearance[]
Sunny has blond hair and black eyes. He wears a yellow shirt and black shorts. He has no shoes or toes.
Roles[]
He usually has three different types of roles in the comics. Firstly, and most commonly, he is exactly what it says in the tin: a secondary character. He appears as a bystander with little relevance, a one shot character at a part of the comic, or some other roles. One of the most common ones being one of Jimmy Five's helpers in his plans. Sometimes he and Jimmy Five (occasionally Smudge) gets in adventures where he has more spotlight.
The second is stories where he is the main character and the whole conflict comes from the fact that he is a secondary character and hates it, often trying to do something to become a main one. It usually ends in humiliating ways for him (though normally after he goes through temporary victories) but sometimes he walks away peacefully, accepting the fact that he is who he is and learning a lesson (even if he is gonna try and do the same thing in some future issue, more often than not)
The last one are short, mute (with no speech bubbles) stories with him and his father, where they go and try to do something mundane, such as playing or changing a lightbulb, but ends in horrible ways, with them getting really injured, and doing something that makes Sunny's mother or sister, at the end of the story, express their confusion in, usually, the only speech bubble of the comic. Very rarely, he gets full-speech stories with his father or other family members, that, surprisingly, tend more to the heartwarming side than to appeal to funniness.
