Lightning Genji or also know as a Genji is a supporting character of the manga, webcomic and anime series One Punch Man. He is the A-Class rank 17 hero of the Hero Association.
He is voiced by Gen Satō in Japanese and by Todd Haberkorn in English.
Appearance[]
Genji is a man of below average height with black hair and black pupils that wears a black mask that covers his mouth along with a goggle. For the rest of his body he wears a mechanical, armored and steampunk-like suit. In battle he uses two high voltage sabers.
Background[]
A year ago, he joined the Hero Association, due to how fast he reach A-Class he is given top-secret missions by the organizaiton.
History[]
He was first mentioned by the Hero Association as a hero that is in charge of D-City because of the incident caused by Marugori, a reconstruction occured with having his report on the city.
He makes his appearance in the Monster Raid arc, as he fights Maiko Plasma and Electric Catfish Man in D-City before getting defeated by them.
He also appears in the extra chapters of the series, alongside with Genos, Peach Terry, and Heavy Kong being being assigned of taking care the Grizzly Nyah monsters. They had to run away from their mother as he and Stinger took care of the childrens.
He appears in another extra chpater, Pork Cutlet Bowl where he, like many other heroes were called by McCoy to kill the monster that was causing troubles in the police station of Z-City. When he arrived with several other heroes, the monster was already killed by Saitama.
Abilities[]
As a hero who is able to reach A-Class in rank 17 in only a year, he can be seen to be very a strong hero who was able to land deadly attacks on a child Grizzly Nyah, a Demon-level monstersas it would normally an S-Class hero to do this to monsters of this level of threat. In addition he is also given top-secret missions unlike other heroes because of his abilities.
Dual-wield Stun Rods Style: Lighting Genji uses two rods containing high amount of electricity which he used to face a child Grizzly Nyah or even two at the same single handly.
