“ | Oh I don't mind, once when I was 7 years old, I sat on a banana. And of course, that changed my life. | „ |
~ Hugh's infamous anecdote in the TV show. |
Hubert "Hugh" Neutron is a supporting character in the Jimmy Neutron franchise. He is Jimmy's silly duck-obsessed father and son of Granny Neutron.
Appearance
Hugh is a middle-aged man who has light skin complexion. He also wears a blue vest over his white shirt and a red tie. Additionally, he wears glasses. Hugh has brown eyes and the hairstyle that exactly like his son's.
Personality
“ | Hey look at all the pie! YES! I will do it! I! WILL! LLLLLIIIIIIIIIIVVVEEE!!! | „ |
~ Hugh's love for pie. |
In the movie, he was eccentric, confident, easygoing and goofy but intelligent parent who fell victim to the aliens' parents being brainwashed into their slaves, and was infamous for making an unintentionally stupid-sounding metaphor to Jimmy on the message to not jump off cliffs with his friends if they were named cliff.
In the tv series, Hugh has more of a wacky, kooky, "awkward weirdo" type of personality whose dimwitted antics, strange banters and crazy one-liners are usually played for laughs. Now he is completely oblivious to the fact that his son is a prodigy and is rather misguided in the most childish and weirdest of ways. Nevertheless, he's a chipper, upbeat family man who always has time to dispense words of wisdom for Jimmy, even if most of the time those words are better left ignored. He also has an obsession with ducks. He has his moments of protecting his son from danger. He also genuinely loves Judy, his wife, and her pies. He calls Judy, Sugarbooger, and Jimmy, Jimbo.

Trivia
- In the movie, he's meant to be a humorous parody of 50s' fathers in how they're usually morally upright.
