Spoiled Rich (née Spoiled Milk) is a minor antagonist in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, serving as the unseen overarching antagonist of the episodes "Call of the Cutie", "Family Appreciation Day", "Ponyville Confidential", "One Bad Apple", "Flight to the Finish", and "Twilight Time", and the main antagonist of the season five episode "Crusaders of the Lost Mark".
She is Diamond Tiara's abusive and manipulative mother who is responsible for turning Diamond Tiara into a cruel and horrible bully in the first place. She is also the wife of Filthy Rich and is the Head of the School Board.
She was voiced by Chantal Strand.
What makes her a Hate Sink?[]
- Abusing her daughter Diamond Tiara into becoming what she could've become, which resulted in her being a bully towards foals (especially the Cutie Mark Crusaders) in the first place.
- Hearing that Diamond Tiara had lost the election, she berated her for losing instead of comforting her, proving how of a sore loser she is.
- Displaying her condescending behavior towards ponies with a lower social standing than her family and has no qualms of calling the Cutie Mark Crusaders "blank flanks" among other derogatory terms. It was also revealed that she is responsible for the Crusaders being called "blank flanks" in the first place.
- Wanted to take away the school playground for unknown reasons.
- It is implied that she prevented any of the school budget to go into fixing the school playground to make Pipsqueak look bad and even get back at him for winning the class presidency over Diamond Tiara.
- During the school board meeting, she berated Diamond Tiara for hanging out with "confused, insignificant lowlife" ponies.
- When Diamond Tiara stands up to her, she tries to control her for the last time by telling her to stay away from those "blank flanks".
- Even though she agreed to give Filthy Rich a note under Diamond Tiara's wishes, it wasn't actually out of altruism just to keep her own image, proving that she didn't learn anything from her mistakes.
- While waiting to use the Ponyville Day Spa steam room, she bragged about how many steam rooms she has in her mansion.
- She is shown to be a jerk towards the Apple family throughout the episode "Where The Apple Lies".
- Befitting to her name, she can be extremely spoiled to her husband as he mentioned that she only prefers purple flowers instead of all of them, proving how ungrateful she is.
- Expresses her intentions of having several parts of School of Friendship named after her and teaching the students poor lessons about loyalty, showing that she wants everything based on her own image.
- Unlike her husband, she has no redeeming qualities and doesn't show remorse over for what she did.
- Doesn't receive any of her well-deserved comeuppance at all for the abuse she puts through her daughter and the other things she has done, not counting Diamond Tiara standing up to her.
- Overall, she is nothing but a selfish and spoiled mean girl who doesn't care about others but herself. It is implied that she only married Filthy Rich just for his wealth. Her abuse towards her daughter was proven to be her downfall when Diamond Tiara had a good reasons of standing up to her mother because she had no other choice but to choose the Crusaders' offer of redemption before she does. Even her egotistical desire of creating her own image caused Starlight to reject her application of becoming the vice headmare of School of Friendship either.
