Crimson Knolastname is a major antagonist of the adult animated black comedy series Helluva Boss. He is the abusive father and archenemy of Moxxie, as well as the leader of his mafia family in the Ring of Greed.
He is voiced by Richard Steven Horvitz.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Although not canon, Moxxie in the pilot did say that he dreamed that his father (implying Crimson) is being murdered (alongside his mother).
- When Moxxie was just a kid, Crimson attempted to force him to do various horrible acts against his will such as kill a living being for target practice despite having an actual target range. These are only stopped by Moxxie's mother who intervenes.
- He had his wife (Moxxie's mom) killed for protecting Moxxie from his abuse.
- Forced Moxxie to drown someone before telling Moxxie (who is still a kid during this time) that he will meet the same fate if he crosses him like this.
- To make this even worse, the possessions of hundreds of imps are shown floating in the water, indicating that Crimson has done this to a lot of people.
- He has killed dozens of imps, hellhounds, and shark demons before displaying their body parts in his house as a prize.
- He summons I.M.P specifically to force Moxxie into marrying Chaz, even though Moxxie is already married to Millie.
- During Moxxie's story about being betrayed by Chaz and arrested, Crimson shows no concern and even appears disappointed about Moxxie's story.
- It's established that he hates Chaz and is only putting together an arranged marriage for his money.
- He slapped Moxxie in the face for talking back at him.
- He threatens to kill Millie if Moxxie doesn't obey him.
- His ideals of making the wedding more appealing to Moxxie involve having dildos everywhere which obviously does the opposite by making Moxxie uncomfortable and point out that no sexuality would find such a thing appealing.
- He is shown to be extremely homophobic. He doesn't understand the difference between being gay and being bisexual, not believing Moxxie's marriage to Millie as being legit. However, it's ambiguous, as Crimson may have behaved like this to taunt his son, as he still tried to marry him and Chaz (same-sex marriage) anyway.
- He forces Moxxie to sleep in a separate room from Millie. To make matters worse, he hid Chaz in Moxxie's room, trapping him inside, so the latter would have been raped by the former.
- He is also shown to be misogynistic, berating his own men over being killed by Millie saying that should be able to beat her since she is a woman, even though she is clearly slaughtering them almost without effort one-by-one.
- While Chaz's death is well-deserved thus making him an a**hole killer, Crimson's reason for killing Chaz has more to do with Chaz lying to him about being rich as opposed to any of the other far worse things he did and not to mentioned what he did to Chaz was considered overkill considering how he died brutally off screen, it’s implied that Chaz still cares for Moxxie, and the fact Crimson is eviler than Chaz and got away with it.
- After I.M.P leave, Crimson throws a knife into portrait of Moxxie, indicating his intent to kill him for defying him.
- He holds Fizzarolli hostage in an attempt to force Asmodeus, who is one of the seven deadly sins, to give up everything.
- If Stolas is correct, he attempted to trick Asmodeus into signing everything away while ensuring that he would still get to kill Fizz, thus leaving Asmodeus with nothing.
- He also holds Blitzo hostage with Fizzarolli. Even though Blitzo is less profitable than Fizz, he most likely planned to exploit him for profit as well, considering that he owns I.M.P.
- Despite hiring Striker and him being extremely skilled at his profession, he treats him with little to no respect, rudely addressing him as "Cowboy" and "Hick for hire".
- While he does have a few comedic moments mostly stemming from his anger, he still has no redeeming qualities and is taken extremely seriously.
- Like Valentino from Hazbin Hotel who has a worst personality by abusing Angel Dust too much, Crimson's personality is even way more worse than HB villains.
Trivia[]
- He is considered the most heinous and abusive parent in the series and is considered far more unlikable than Blitzo's father, Cash Buckzo, who is a Hate Sink in his own right.
