Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

A customized Gunpla that is based on the Gouf Custom. It was upgraded in the same way that the S-Type was modified from the Zaku II F-Type, and its thruster capacity has been increased by 30% by adopting a newly designed propulsion device and a new generator. Although governor parts were removed from the auto-equipment in order to secure the space for propellant capacity, reducing operability, the range of manual operation was expanded, completely changing the control characteristics to be suitable for ace pilots. The unit's color is also a deep crimson, fitting for a machine of its performance, and its appearance alone strikes fear into its enemies.^[1]

Armaments[]

• Heat Rod

This is a variation of the electromagnetic whip that was adopted as a fixed armament for the Gouf Custom; it is also called the anchor type. In addition to improving its effective range, its load-bearing capacity has also been improved to the point where the entire unit can hang suspended from it.^[1]

• 3-Barrel 35mm Gatling Gun

Developed as an alternative to the 5-barrel 75mm gun that was fixed as the arm of the original Gouf. By making it detachable, the ammo capacity can be increased and the magazine can be exchanged without sacrificing the mobile suit's versatility.^[1]

• Gatling Shield

Equipment that combines a shield with a medium to short-range 75mm bore rotary cannon.^[1]

• 75mm Gatling Gun

The gatling gun has sufficient power and ammunition, and can be detached to maintain the initiative against enemy units in close combat.^[1]

• Heat Saber

A melee weapon mounted on the back of the shield. It can be used as a huge sword for slashing attacks, it is also capable of super-heating the blade to slice through an enemy's armor.^[1]

History[]

The Gouf Crimson Custom was one of four AI-controlled Gunpla designed and built by Kentaro Mahara as part of a scheme to hack the GB Fest tournament and have his revenge against Takuma Nagitsuji for a humiliating loss at the Gunpla Battle U.S. Championship. He chose an AI of Zeheart Galette, an ace pilot who, in his opinion, was similarly subjected to a cruel fate, to be its pilot. A group of talented battlers struggled against the high skill of the AIs, with the Gouf Crimson Custom squaring off with the Blazing Gundam of Misa Satsukino, a teammate of Takuma from the Ayato Shopping District Gunpla team, but the AIs were defeated with teamwork after a long struggle. With the outside assistance of Kadomatsu, the Ayato Shopping District team's engineer, working to counter the programming, their AIs were reprogrammed to attack their creator, becoming part of his undoing.

• The Gouf Crimson Custom's colors resemble the Char Aznable-piloted MS-07B Gouf from the storybook adaptation of "A Wish of War Orphans" published by Asahi Sonorama.
