G.I. Joe: Resolute is a franchise based on the A Real American Hero theme that debuted in the first quarter of 2009. It is a multimedia property filling in right between the 25th Anniversary toyline and the film franchise.
Resolute was announced at the Hasbro panel during the 2008 G.I. Joe convention. At that time, the known components of this G.I. Joe franchise were that it is a component of the Joe vs. Cobra mythology and was supported by an animated movie and a small toyline.[1]
