I first became aware of GI Joe when I was 12 years old after I saw commercials for the toy line on a tape of Disney and Warner Brothers cartoons a friend of mine had recorded for her kids in the 80s, and I became a fan when I got GI Joe: The Movie. It was the action-packed 3-minute intro sequence with the iconic song that first hooked me, and I would sing along every time I watched it. I fell in love after that. Hi All,

I have noticed that Joepedia had lacked a lot of info on G.I. Joe Extreme. I kinda took it upon myself to rectify that.

Now, I know Extreme is one of those series that bombed so bad. That Hasbro, and most of the Joe fandom is trying to forget.

but I truly believe that Joepedia is, and should be the ultimate resource for G.I. Joe Information. Not just for RAH, or the Movies, but all Series. good, or bad.

Now, back to my main point. I am have been trying to scour the internet on for any info I can find on the series. Through Google searches, scouring Joepedia, and other wikia. As well as watch the series itself. Some vehicles, and characters go unnamed. Not matter if they play an important part of the story/series.

Can someone tell me what the preferred origin of Cobra Commander is?

I’ve just watched the GIJoe episode World without End on YouTube. I had this film on VHS when I was a very young boy. There’s a scene that has been removed. It had something to do with Cobra putting subliminal messages through TV sets and brainwashing people into zombie-like compliance. I wonder why it was removed.

No Sergeant in G.I. JOE fandoms is above Staff Sergeant unless there're witnesses to their might and heroism.

I’ve noticed some “ads” recently calling for users to adopt their wikis. It’s been a while since our currently appointed admins have done anything to the site. Do we need active admins?

To be honest, I’m not sure what their responsibilities are. But we would probably be best served by having a couple admins so any one of them doesn’t feel overwhelmed.

One thing The Powers That Be said is that they’d like to see potential admins making edits every day or two. Even if we don’t need an admin, that comment did make me think we need some sort of plan or priority list.

There’s a lot of content on this wiki, and there’s still a lot of work to be done. Knowing where to start can be intimidating, but like they say…

Sad news, heard voice director Wally Burr past away on july 9th at age 93.

The animated shows, vehicles, and character pages all could use some work on them. I've done some work on synopsis's(?) and lists, but will need some backup.

Entertainment Weekly points out the brand new trailer for the upcoming movie G.I. Joe: Retaliation with new star Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. They also mention the appearance by the red ninja Jinx. For those unfamiliar with the character, Jinx learned martial arts from a blind master, and excells when she is blindfolded as seen in the picture. Hail Cobra!!!! Anthony Marsh, Jr (Power Rangers LG: The Rise of Trakeena) is set to play the evil Cobra leader that is determined to rule the world known the vile Cobra Commander in his G.I. Joe fanfilm based on the 2010 Pursuit of Cobra toyline.

Marsh is also directing and writting the film, while playing the evil Cobra leader. His G.I. Joe fanfilm is due out July 2012 (before the release of G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes on August 10, 2012). His fanfilm also consists some of the actors from The Rise of Cobra (like Channing Tatum as Duke and Marlon Wayans as Ripcord). Check the fanfilm out before Cobra Strikes is out next summer.

I was thinkin'. Since everybody HATED Sienna Miller , who played it in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra , I was considering (or some others) someone who is or not an actress, but is a model. Denise Milani should be my firsthand choice to play the Baroness in the 2012 G.I. Joe reboot sequel Cobra Strikes (due out August 10) and maybe this should be Milani's big break into acting. I was hoping if she should be better than that underrated hussie Sienna Miller herself. Ha Ha Ha! Get lost Sienna. You're nothing.

Does anyone know the order of reading the IDW G.I.Joe series?

Okay.... Im not sure if anyone is ever going 2 read this but if you do please help!!!! Im still in denial about it but there have been rumors on various Yo Joe fansites that G.I. Joe Renegades is only going to air 1 season.... THIS CANT HAPPEN! But...I still dont know for sure and it's eating me alive! If anyone can find out for sure please,please,PLEASE tell meh!!!!! :(

I've always wondered about the two ninjas shown in most versions of G.I. Joe. Has anyone else found it odd that the ninja dressed in black and with the snake name is a Joe while the ninja in white and the slightly cooler sounding name, especially in Japanese, is working for Cobra? To me this has always felt like either a subtle joke or a knock against conventional wisdom. Any comments are welcome.

Unfortunatley my house flooded a little and i got mildew were my G.I. Joe's are and bent some of the file cards which SUCKS
