Za'ha Woods
Za'ha Woods (ザッハの古森, Zahha no komori, Old Forest of Zahha in Japanese) is a forest visited during Chapter 4 of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. This is the first place Eirika's group encounters Monsters. Likewise, Monsters appear here during the main story and Creature Campaign. They are generally of the weaker kind, such as Revenants and Mogalls.
Profile[]
Part of Renais, Za'ha Woods can be found in the west of the kingdom, southeast of Borgo Ridge. The border town of Serafew lies near the Woods in Grado. It is possible that Serafew is located within the ancient forest, along with various villages, though the exact extent of the Woods is unknown. The dense forest stretches between two mountain ranges reaching through western Magvel. Many Mages and other Magic users live here.
Story[]
Having defeated Bazba's Bandits and recovered her bracelet, Eirika continues south toward Grado. While she is at first grateful for the lack of enemy troops in the forest, she soon learns this is because of another deadly force lurking in the shadows. Revenants, Mogalls, Bonewalkers, and an Entombed appear, ready to attack their horrified prey. Artur, a Monk and a resident of Za'ha Woods, is quick to warn Eirika's group of the new threat, defeating a Mogall with his Light magic. Emboldened, Eirika leads her companions to rescue themselves and the nearby villagers from the Monsters.
Appearing atop an eastern ridge, L'Arachel realizes there is trouble ahead. She leads Dozel and Rennac forth to rescue the travellers. Yet by the time they arrive, Eirika has already defeated the Monsters. Though quite confused, Eirika is nonetheless able to catch that her supposed hero is Lady L'Arachel of Rausten before the three run off just as suddenly as they had appeared.
If someone visits the northern village, a man will give them an Iron Axe. If someone talks to Lute in the village further south, she will join Eirika's cause.
Etymology[]
ٱلزَّهْرَاء, al-Zahra' was the moniker given to the Islamic prophet Muhammad's daughter Fatima, meaning "the shining one". She is an instrumental figure of Shia Islam. This same root word, ز-هـ-ا, z-h-a, is used again to name Zahras from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
