It's been a while since I'm back to work, and ever since then, I've been quite busy. So while I am here, I am only somewhat active. I'd love to do more around here, but I simply lack the time, sadly.
Nontheless, I feel as part of this community - and I hope you all won't hate me if I show off this birthday gift I got from a very special friend <3

You just gotta love it <3
And that special friend, for getting it for me. Which, considering that I had never met her in person before is just downright awesome of her and deserves all the love in the world *hugs the Tonberry in place of that friend*
AHEM. Anyway, I figured it was time for an update to this mine page, so here we go~

War born of strife, these trials dissuade us not

About Me[]
Well, this is it, this is my userpage. My name here is Sceada, or, more precise, MirrorshardSceada, and as you can probably see from the Infobox, I'm 24 years old and swiss. Yes, that's right, I come from Switzerland, more precise from Biel, one of the ten biggest cities in our country. After having dropped out of university where I tried to study Computer Science from August 2009 to May 2012 I am an apprentice at an electronics store since August 2012. I have now been around for a while, and, well, I have somewhat become a regular around here, that some people know, and actually have come to see as a sort of friend on here. I have no clue how it happened, but hell, I am glad it did =D I really like being here, and even though I do not contribute that much, I am still happy that the few things I did were even praised sometimes.
On a more personal note, you could easily say, that I am a sort of... well, how should I put it? An otaku? A freak? A nerd? A geek? Somehow probably all of that, and certainly also a lot more. I am seriously obsessed with certain anime/manga series, I am someone who can not stop gaming if he starts with a good game, and I like working on my PC. One of my biggest hobbies though, besides listening to music (sadly, I can't play any >.<), is writing. I really do enjoy it a great deal, whether it be a short story, or some prosa, or in the frame of a roleplay, which I do only seldom say no to. All in all, I am a rather strange guy, huh?
Oh, and another thing, which you might notice when you talk to me at some point: I am a huge romantic. I can't help it, but I just have a faible for it. A scene like the one in Spice and Wolf Season 2, where Lawrence finally tells Holo how he feels? You'll instantely find me sitting here, exclamating "KAWAIIIII~ x3". That's just the kind of guy I am.
I am single at this time with my first relationship with a german girl having ended after 27 months in December 2011 and the second one with a canadian girl ending in a both mental and emotional desaster after just five months in June 2012. I have recently meet a girl that I feel could be the right one and that is single, but at present time, it does not look like it could be more than friendship since we're both still dealing with the emotional mess our last relationships left us in. Though she has stated that she feels comfortable around me, which is already a huge thing for me. But yeah... at the end of the day, I am still single.
So well, that's it, that's the guy you know as MirrorshardSceada. This is me.
Oh, one more thing: If you want to know more about me, here you can read about me in a Troper's nutshell.

Despite head-butting one of the Italian players in the 2006 World Cup Final, Zidane now enjoys a peaceful retirement in the-- oh hold on, wrong person. Rewind! After sticking his dagger into Kuja-- oh hold on, that might be misunderstood. Ah, forget it. Zidane is the master of everything. That's all that needs to be said. Congratulations! |

This cluttered eyesore is to certify that MirrorshardSceada has completed Jeppo's Challenge #11 with Vivi Orunitia!
As the most powerful, all-knowing mage around, every child around kept pestering their parents for a Black Mage doll, especially the ones that said "KILL!" after poking its belly. As a result, half the world's population went in flames. Oh, well. At least Vivi knows the Water spell to douse the blaze. Congratulations! |
This cluttered eyesore is to certify that MirrorshardSceada has completed Jeppo's Challenge #11 with Eiko Carol!
Now you are probably wondering why there isn't the usual quote from Eiko at the top of this eyesore, slightly changed to reference that she knows all abilities that she is possibly learnt. This is because this is meant to award the user, and adding a word that was uttered from that six-year-old brat would be more of a punishment. And it is definitely not because Jeppo can't think of a good quote to add for this! Nope. Absolutely not. Negative. Nosiree! Congratulations! |

This cluttered eyesore is to certify that MirrorshardSceada has completed Jeppo's Challenge #11 with Freya Crescent!
At the annual Festival of the Hunt, Freya entered and scored the highest tally of points ever recorded. She did so well, she killed all the monsters in Lindblum, then went on to kill all the monsters around the surrounding areas of the regency. She was later disqualified for taking a controlled substance. Congratulations! |
"I hate kids." | |
This cluttered eyesore is to certify that MirrorshardSceada has completed Jeppo's Challenge #11 with Amarant Coral!
To celebrate the fact that he knows all the abilities he can possibly know, Amarant does... absolutely nothing. Other than giving the others the usual lecture about you should fight alone and everyone is out to get you. He should meet Squall sometime. Maybe in the Dissidia sequel. Congratulations! |

You are hereby permanently rewarded for beating Jeppo's Challenge #1. This is due to your persistent boss-slaying, despite your player's levels being stupendously low. Your disruptive Light Warriors will no longer be tolerated by Chaos (which is why he died). My Eidolon as a Sorceror l'Cie is Tonberry, the Karmic Retributor. Also, thanks to Bluestarultor, my little green friend does have his own page where you can find more information about him, and his Gestalt Mode as a digging machine.
You may wonder why I picked Tonberry as my Eidolon and not something like Shiva or Odin or another existing Eidolon. Well, truth be told, I took him exactly because he hasn't been an Eidolon so far. Okay, true, it was a GF in VIII, but to be honest, I didn't even know or remeber that at the time I picked the Tonberry. Also, I just consider the concept of their Karma attacks to be very cool as well as his style of fighting. Creepy stalker with a Kitchen Knife? Epic. Just epic.

The Contest of Peons was a tournament held from late November until the middle of February by our master Sorceror Nobody. 32 l'Cie participated in it, and it featured a double-elimination modus, with one round every week. To be honest, I still don't know how it happened but I somehow made it to the 3rd place in a tie with Drake. I am still deeply honoured by this result and I would like to once more thank everyone who made it possible. Thank you guys!

A l'Cie's Diary is a fanfic written by me that centers around the life of a l'Cie. It was inspired by me being a Sorceror l'Cie and harbouring several thoughts about how life actually must have been for all those l'Cie of Pulse. Thus, I started to write about that and eventually got to like writing that story =)
Thus, it doesn't surprise that I do have somewhat big plans for this fanfic and intend to take it a long way. Currently, it is still very new, counting a mere 4 chapters to this date and is set approximately 2000 years in the past (this can still change, mind you), and thus even before the creation of Cocoon. Said event is handled as a story theme for Mafia VI, where my l'Cie participates, and will later on be included into the diary. But I've still got a long way to go...
So, who is this my l'Cie? Well, his name is Paddra Boreas Sceada, and he has a rather pessimistic outlook on his life as a l'Cie. Doomed to eternal servitude, with the only ways out being either death or eternal torment? Not really his thing, and so he is rather discouraged at his life. Still, when he begins to learn about his powers he grows interested, and after he meets two fellow l'Cie, Haerii Rin Tasha and Haerii Medeis Nemo, he begins to once more enjoy his life. However, the cruel fate of the l'Cie is ever present and not to be taken lightly...
If this got you interested, feel free to go take a look at the story right here.
Unfortunately I have to finally admit that this fanfic is sadly not going anywhere anymore, as I have no motivation and time to continue writing it. It is most unfortunate, but I guess it is dead. My apologies to all those who liked it and would have loved to see more of it.

Obtained it for the Playstation way back, and since then have finished it multiple times. Always fun to play, especially when I go over to my best buddy's place and we play it on his 42' screen xD It has somewhat become a tradition for us to play it together, and as such we tend to pick it up anew quite often.

Originally got this for my Playstation along with FF I in the Origins bundle, but I never got around to play it more than for an hour before getting frustrated at the leveling system. That is, until I got it for the GBA. Now, sometimes when I am on the train, I put it into my DS and play. It isn't as bad as I first thought but it still is at times quite annoying, and to be honest, the storyline is so far hardly able to be even called a such. Still, I will see this through to the end because the game simply desires that. And after all, perhaps the appearance of the Emperor will give it a turn for the better, who knows?
Status: About to plunge into the depths of hell or in other words, about to enter Jade.Don't know why, don't know how... but somehow, my Savegame got deleted. So I'm back to 0, and my motivation to start over is just as low -.-

Got it for the DS and enjoyed it quite a lot - That is, until I got to the Crystal Tower. Seriously, that thing is way too long for not featuring a Save Point along the way, and then there is the World of Darkness waiting afterwards. After falling twice to the guardians of the dark crystals, I had put this aside for the time being, until today, April 23rd. Today I tried it again, and invested a good four hours in it - only to fall to yet another dark crystal guardian. Seriously, it is like this game wants me to not complete it, and after wasting so much time, I am just too pissed to try again -.- And even on my fourth try, with upgraded jobs that were suggested by Henry, I got my backside handed to me. But I won't quit this time, oh no! This time, I'll grind, and grind, and grind... - and then, I'll obliterate you, III! You have my word!
Well, after having grinded to level 60, I finally managed to beat the game, and even without any big problems. Hurray for grinding! As such, I can finally, after many years, say that yes, I have completed III!

Despite owning it for the Playstation, I ended up playing it on the DS after receiving it as a gift from my girlfriend. I must say I quite enjoyed it, despite being heavily annoyed by the Lunar Subterrane. It took me months to get through that one >.> But still, when I finally made it through, Zeromus proved to be no real challenge, and fell quite fast.

Downloaded it for the PSP, and while I at first liked the episode driven story telling, the ending severly disappointed me. The last dungeon and boss just seemed... pointless. It is not a bad game, by no means it is, but it isn't awesome to say the least. Best thing in it was being able to kick ass as Golbez.

Initially obtained it for the Playstation (I know, this is kinda of my running gag here), I later on got it for the GBA to a very good price and played it on the train with my DS. And boy, did I enjoy this game! The story was quite good, it had humour (Gilgamesh!), some awesome music tracks (Big Bridge, anyone?) and most importantly: A hell of of an awesome job system. You just gotta love it, with all the possibilities it provides you. I mean, what's not to like about a Freelancer with Spellblade, Jump and Counter? Yep, I definitely had fun there.

Another game I got for the Playstation, though this one is an exception in that I did actually play it on that system. Yes, I don't just buy the game for the Playstation and then never play them on it, I also do play them! And a good play it was, aye. The story is good, the characters loveable and the music... Oh my god the music! It is just so wonderful. The opera, Forever Rachel, Terra's Theme... - Seriously, I could go on for the entire track list. Also, Kefka is time wise seen the first villain that I really liked. I mean, who wouldn't like that insane clown? He was just priceless.

Ah, Final Fantasy VII... - The one often called the best of all time. Well, sorry to disappoint you but for me that just isn't true. It's not that I did not enjoy playing this on my Playstation, because it actually holds a rather good story, but it just did not blow me out of my chair like other games did. It is solid, aye, with a number of great characters (I'm looking at you two mainly, Red XIII and Vincent) and overall a good system, but... The graphics suck. Sorry to say it that way, but I can't help it. I heavily dislike VII's graphics, which is actually a sad thing when one considers how much I love the graphics of the NES/SNES era. I guess these early attempts at 3D just don't appeal to me, but I can look over that. Sadly, even if I do this game hardly isn't the best of all time. Good, yes, but not as exceptional as everyone likes to make it out to be.

I truly loved this game. It's got something that is hard to put into words, and that makes it so great. Granted, the battle system is kinda of a knock off of the Kingdom Hearts one, and you can get through the entire main game by mashing the X button if you fancy that as well as some luck with the DMC, but it is great and well made. Also, the DMC is a really great idea both plot- and gameplay-wise despite you not being able to control it directly, which sucks a bit especially when trying to level up. But it is still good, and especially it's usage in the ending has me sold. Ah yes, the ending... - Briliant. It is an awesome ending, and that is not despite it being sad, it is especially because it is sad. This is what it is meant to be, this is what it is, and it is awesome. Also, Zack is just so lovable and great, that he has become one of the three characters that are for me (almost) impossible to vote against in any User Arena.

You know, I really don't know why, but when I first tried to beat the game, I got stuck on disc 2 and then never picked it up again. Strange thing, because I actually liked it as far as I can recall. Huh. I'll be certain to pick it up again when the time comes and then I'll be sure to finish it.
Well, that didn't take long. Just twenty days, not bad. Anyway, the game was quite enjoyable, even if the plot was at times questionable and disc 4 was disappointingly short. Besides slaying Omega, I did everything, and well, I enjoyed the time spent on it. Perhaps I'll replay it at a later point, but at least not in the near future.

The game that started it all. Without this one, I might never have found out about the Final Fantasy series and then I'd be a different person. But I learned about it, and then while playing I learned a lot from it. Seriously, IX has told me a lot. Not only about gaming, but also about life. It was where I first learnt how bad it can be to be forgotten, or how insecure someone might be - both these knowledges have been very valuable to me while growing up. But even without those does the game have a lot of things going for it. For one, there is the music which has by now accompanied me for an entire century and still does not fail to capture me. Also, it has a fun story with some truly deep characters, where the most notable one certainly is Vivi. And let's face it: You just can not not love Vivi. And then there's the ATB System with the Abilities that can be equipped, and well... To cut a long story short: I just love about everything from the game, and I have finished it so often that I have truly lost count of the number.

I had a lot of fun playing this one. The story is quite good, the battle system is enjoyable and the very best thing is the possibility to actually control your summons in battle. Just how awesome is that? It also doesn't hurt that it is fairly linear, because it makes sense in terms of the plot. And to top it all off, it features a set of truly awesome themes, most notably of course To Zanarkand. God, that piece alone has made me wish I could play the piano more than once...

Despite a great deal of people telling me that it is a bad game, I am still looking forward to play it sometimes in the near future. I must admit: I did not care much for XI at first. The prospect of an online game that I have to both buy and pay for playing just didn't thrill me, seeing how I got my software for free with Ragnarok Online, and paid less for the same playtime. Thus, I largely ignored it for a long time... - But this changed. I first grew curious when Dissidia came out. Shantotto was an interesting character, so I figured her game could not be that bad, but not much changed else: I occasionally looked up an article about XI on the wiki here, but I did not really consider getting it. And then, there came Prishe. Honestly, I don't know why, but somehow she got me excited for this game. I really would love to start it right now, however I only have limited time at my disposal due to being a student... - Can I really be able to devote all my time onto this game? Because according to a certain user here who is a longtime XI player, that's what I'd need to do if I want to get anywhere in this game... So, basically, I am exicted about this game, but I'm lacking the time for it - Hopefully, this will change at a point and I can pick it up. And so, I did pick it up. In June, soon after the start of my lecture free time, I couldn't resist the temptation any longer. However, it's not as bad as it sounds, for I can easily put the game away whenever I want. It is quite fun to play, but thankfully it has yet failed to get me as addicted as Ragnarok Online got me back in the day. I am playing a Mithra Black Mage which I named Xascade. If you want to say hi, I'm roaming around on the Valefor server, and am currently most of the time in the Eastern Sarutabaruta region to be found.
Sadly, I had to notice that the game lacks a longtime motivation for me, so I dropped it again sooner than I had hoped. Perhaps I'll pick it up again at one point, but I kinda doubt it...

One thing first: I suck at playing with the Gambits. And since those are practically the essential thing to the battlesystem in this one, I am fucked. Which is a sad thing, for I really did enjoy the game's plot and characters up to the point that I got stuck, which is namely the Sandsea. I certainly hope I'll one day get the gist of these damn things and get around to actually finish it, because from what I've heard it would definitely be worth it. But right now, I don't really have the time, sadly...

Started playing it while I was in the Elsace visiting two friends who were busy playing Ace Attorney %)
While it is not the best game and does not have the most elaborate story or game system, it certainly is a good way to kill time and enjoyable to play. Also it lets me summon Tonberries. That's always a good thing. FF needs more controllable Tonberries.

Ah, a good game... Granted that it is fairly linear for a huge amount of time, and it also somewhat sucks that you can't revisit the early locations, but... guess what? It makes perfect sense storywise and as such, I can live with it. Also, it has some great characters, first and foremost of course Sazh. Sazh is awesome, and if you ask me, he is the most human character ever to be found in a Final Fantasy game and as such he completes my trio of characters I can not vote against. Also, one thing which I did quite enjoy that many others seemed to be annoyed by was the accents in this game, especially Fang and Vanille's. Well, to come to an end, I did generally enjoy the game and it's story. But then again, I guess this should have been obvious given that I write a fanfic based on it, ne?

First off, I like the game. It is fun to play, the touch with taming mosters is nice and gives the battlesystem a neat touch, and above all, Yeul is adorable. Honestly, how can you hate a guy like Caius when everything he does, he does out of the wish to protect a cute little girl like her? That being said, Caius is indeed one of the few villains in videogame history I can not bring myself to hate, and to some extent actually want to win against me. Clearly, he and Yeul are the best thing to have come out of this game. Noel and Serah are nice as well, but they can't compare to that wonderful pair.

I did not intend to go and get this game. I seriously didn't. But due to me having to lie around all day, my sister thought she'd do me something good and bought me the game - I sure have a good sister <3
Too bad though that my Laptop can't handle it - and due to my back surgery, I am not allowed to sit at my computer for another month. But oh well, it still is a nice thing for her to do, and I'll definitely give it a try once I can.
Unfortunately I couldn't start it when I finally was able to play at my computer again due to it having been taken down, so I had to wait patiently for it to be relaunched. And when that finally happened I got to start playing during my holidays at the start of October. And oh god. IT'S SO AMAZING AND WONDERFUL <3

I really enjoy this one. Okay, the fact that death units crystallize after a few turns and are lost forever is a serious pain in the ass, but once you get used to that and always healing as fast as possible, you don't mind it that much anymore. The whole game as such is fun to play, the story is in my eyes excellent and the only thing I really don't like is how important special characters drop right out of the story as soon as they join your team for real. But then again, I guess that comes from the fact that they can die just as well and disappear forever... - and it would be worse if a no-longer existant character suddenly appeared in a cutscene. So yeah, makes sense.
In any case, I enjoy it. And I look forward to advancing more and more in it's story. Oh, by the way: We're talking about War of the Lions here.

A nice game that managed to burn a lot of my time at the hospital where I couldn't really do much. It doesn't live up to the original Tactics by far and personally, I prefer it's indirect sequel Tactics Advance 2 as well, mainly because it seems more refined in terms of the battle system, and offers more jobs. Still, it's a decent game and I quite enjoy it.

I must say that I was rather sceptical about this one at first, given how much it is different from the main series games. But when my girlfriend gave it to me as a present, how could I have said no to playing it? And let me tell you, I haven't regretted it once. The battle system is fun, the growth system as well and the story may not be as deep as some others but it still has a lot of points in it's favour. Especially the sidequests are often very beautifully designed in terms of the story and as such, I almost couldn't stop playing it. What's more, I noticed a lack of a completed walkthrough for it which has led to me picking that task up as a Focus. Due to this, I will be sure not to quit this game anytime soon.

A fight game, with Final Fantasy characters in it? Dear Lord, I'm in heaven. I always wanted to battle with fighters such as Zidane, Cloud or Squall, and standing up to the likes of Garland, Sephiroth or Exdeath. So, obviously, I couldn't stop playing the game, once I got my hands on it. Sadly though, I had to reach a point, where my skill in such games apparently isn't high enough, and had to give up eventually.

Got it preordered in the Legacy Edition and am pretty excited for it. I mean, it has Gilgamesh, Lightning, Yuna, Prishe and Laguna! But, with my luck being as it is, it is once more the case that I get my game delayed... With a bit of luck it'll be here by Wednesday, 30th of March. But only with luck, which I sadly seldom have... Despite every prediction, it arrived on Monday and was thus succesfully started on Tuesday the 29th. The opener against Feral Chaos sure was fun xD I lived on for a whole 15 seconds! Pathetic, ne? %) By now, I have completed the first six chapters of the 013 story and am steadily advancing, albeit only at a slow pace due to having only little time at my hand currently. But it is definitely more fun than the original Dissidia, which was already awesome, so yeah: It is truly great. Especially when you're playing as Prishe, she's just wonderfull <3
By now I have also started with Confesions of the Creator, where my party consists of the following five: Prishe, Gilgamesh, Kain, Lightning, Laguna. As you can see, I did not pick my strongest characters, but those whom I have most fun with =)
On that note, I have by now beaten Feral Chaos. I even did it on my first try! :D Those interested in how I did it, I have uploaded the videos to my YouTube-Account.

I had to wait a long, long time before I could get my hands on this one. And, well, it was definitely worth the wait. The game is amazing! It has so much nostalgia in it, it is entertaining and challenging at the same time... - what more could I want?
Now if only I was a bit more skilled in playing it, then I'd be set...

I've hesitated a long time before I finally gave in and bought it for my Galaxy Note II on February 28th. Would it be any good? Would I enjoy it? Would I be disappointed in it? So many questions and doubts about this...
Well, gladly I gave it a chance, and so far, it's been worth it, albeit the controls being very hard to grow accustomed to... But I like the job system, and while the game as a whole doesn't seem as deep as a proper Final Fantasy should be, it's great for killing time on my phone. And that's what it's purpose was, no?
Status: Just started Chapter 2.

Let me say this first: I am a big fan of this franchise, and it is among those franchises where I intend to play and complete every game off. Granted, that is not as much work as it will be for the Final Fantasy franchise, but still: Given my limited time, this is definitely meaning something when I say that I will complete them all, come what may, so...
One thing I really love about this series is the characters. Most of them are truly great, and the fact that it has a somewhat continuous story is also quite catching. Also, I quite like the fact that the battle system changes with every part, though I must say that I do not really like the one used in Chain of Memories... - perhaps because I suck at it. Also, the Keyblade is an awesome weapon, and more often than just once I have found myself designing one of my own.
- The first game in the series and also the first one I played. I loved it. It was great to play, exploring the Disney worlds was a lot of fun and the battle system was quite promising. I am not entirely sure I'd still love it that much if I were to play it again now since a lot has changed and the battle system now pales in comparision to it's successors, but either way, it will always remain a good game.
- Status: Successfully beaten
- Actually I received this after having played KH II, so it felt kinda out of line for me. I figure it is a good game, despite almost the entire story in the worlds just being retold, and only the happenings in the castle really being new. Sadly, I could not proceed far enough in my first few playthroughs, and always got stuck at one or another boss, leading me to quit this game. I guess I just am not suited for this kinda of battle system... Even in my most recent playthrough I have failed, despite getting as far as never before and actually reaching the second battle against Axel, whom I just can not beat. So no playing as Riku for me, sadly ;_;
- Status: Stuck at second Axel battle, will perhaps have to start over anew.
- The second game I got, and for me one of the best games I have ever played on the Playstation 2. This game just had something going for it, it had fun worlds, a very entertaining battle system and most importantly, the Organisation XIII. These guys in their black coats are just awesome, hands down. So, all in all, a game I definitely enjoyed and wouldn't mind picking up again, if I just had more free time.
- Status: Successfully beaten
- Playing as Roxas? Win. Being able to play as Organisation XIII members in multiplayer mode? Dear god, that's more win than the franchise can handle. But still, it did and thus, this game was already awesome from the start. The fact that the battle system was great and that the mission oriented setup was a great way to make this game just added to that and made it even better. Truly a great game with an awesome story.
- Status: Successfully beaten
- Ten years before the adventures of Sora began, there were three Keyblade wielders... - At this point, I was already sold. A prequel to Kingdom Hearts? One, that would explain a lot of things? And one, that featured the
adorablesexycutesimply just awesome Aqua, as well as Ventus and Leonard Nimoy as Master Xehanort? Yeah, that was a must have, and a must play... - And so, it did not last long. Sadly, after beating the three storylines I got stuck in the Terranort fight of the Final Act, and so I yet have to fully complete the story of this one. - Status: Beaten the three character story lines, but not yet Final Act.
- Finished it a while ago, and while it was good and fun to play, it isn't really memorable in my eyes. It is basically just recycling the story once again instead of adding new stuff, which leads to it not standing out at all. Other than that though I liked the game, especially the gameplay with debugging and all.
- Status: Succesfully beaten.
- I can't believe I forgot to add this one in here... Oh well, fixing this now. This one was finally a Kingdom Hearts again that was worth being called one, after Re:Coded felt more like a filler. The battle system was very entertaining with the Dream Eaters, and the Drop system made things quite interesting. And the story was the best part of it, finally giving us new worlds to explore again and opening the doors wide for Kingdom Hearts III which we've been awaiting for so long. So yes, this one was definitely worth playing.
- Status: Succesfully beaten.

The Zelda series... - perhaps the only series besides FF and KH where I really consider myself getting every game and completing it. I just love these games. The have awesome music, great stories and a true hero: Link. Also, despite them all having the same basic layout, the games are still all very different and feature other key concepts, which just makes me love the series even more. All in all, in my eyes a Must Have series for everyone who's into videogames.
- Got the game for free with the 3DS Ambassador Programm that was designed for those who bought one before the price cut. Hurray for my sister having been impatient! Finished it within but a week, and thorougly enjoyed it. A great game, despite having some annoying sides to it like the inability to actually save without having to die first. But nobody is perfect, right?
- Status: Finished once with 100%
- Another one I got from the 3DS Ambassador Programm, and I am looking forward to tackle this one. Many say that it is the Black Sheep in the Zelda family and the most difficult one... - Let's see if this is true for myself.
- Status: After starting it and barely making it through the first palace, it proved too difficult so I put it on Hiatus.
- The oldest Zelda I own, and also the most recent one I got. I play it on the GBA, meaning I'm trying to work my way through the remake. I am by no means far into the game and have currently paused it, but so far I did really enjoy it a lot.
- Status: On the way to the third amulett, then paused it. I will probably need to restart it.
- My very first Zelda game, and still one of my favourite games of all time. I just loved it. The levels were challenging, the story was touching and what more, it was my first really story driven game. So just like IX was my first FF, this was my first Zelda and both will always have a very special place in my heart - Which is why I am so excited at the prospect of it coming to the 3DS eStore! This is something I will definitely get, and if it's the last thing I'll do, I will.
- Status: Successfully beaten it many times
- Hands down, this game is great. It's got everything a good game needs: An epic story, great atmosphere, a good battle system, and of course an awesome soundtrack. There is nothing in this game that is bad, and that is really something. To my shame I must admit that seeing how I never owned a Nintendo 64 nor a Gamecube, I had to get it on the Wii Store, which somewhat makes the controlls a bit akward, but you gotta take what you get, right? In anyway, I finished the game by now, but despite this I'll perhaps get it for the 3DS at a later point... - I find it hard to resist the temptation to do so >.>
- Status: Finished
- Bought it for the Wii after beating Ocarina of Time, but haven't started it yet. I am thinking about doing so soon, seeing how I still have a lot of time left at home before I can work again, but we'll see.
- Status: Not started yet.
- Travelling through time by using a harp? Awesome. Your actions actually having an effect on the future? Hell yeah! Also, this game has Nayru, who is just soooo cute that you have to love her. Yes, this game was really great and I enjoyed it a lot - and the fact that you could combine it with it's sibling Oracle of Seasons made it even better.
- Status: Successfully beaten at least twice
- Controlling the seasons with a magical rod and the possibility to travel to an underground world where just about everything is different? Sweet. True, Din may not be as great as Nayru but she is sexy nontheless and the remaining cast is great as well. Combining it with Oracle of Ages was fun, but ultimately it was the weaker of the two in my eyes, though that's not saying it wasn't a great game.
- Status: Successfully beaten, including the additional dungeon
- I don't know why, but this one felt somehow like a Zelda light. It wasn't a serious game and seemed more like a comedy relief, especially compared to such masterpieces as Ocarina of Time or Link's Awakening. It was fun though, and it was definitely not a bad game. It was just not like a full Zelda in my eyes, that is all.
- Status: Successfully beaten
- Oh my god, I loved this one. Almost as much as Link's Awakening, and even more than Ocarina of Time, and that's saying something. Midna is just awesome, and to be honest, she is my most beloved character in the whole Zelda universe. I really hope she will one day return... - But anyway, battling on the Wii sure was fun (and ruined some inventory, because I got too caught up in it...) and the music and atmosphere certainly had it's strong points. Also, the ending made me cry, and a game that can manage that so efficently certainly knows what its doing.
- Status: Successfully beaten
- The first DS Zelda, and it really did make good use of the DS' features, making it a lot of fun. Also, this whole roadtrip over the ocean was quite awesome and the story was quite okay in my eyes - Nowhere as great as Twilight Princess or Link's Awakening but still good. Overall a fun little game.
- Status: Successfully beaten
- The second DS Zelda, which is at first sight just the first one with a train instead of a boat, which really is not making it all that different. But on the second look, one will find that Zelda is playable in this one, and that she can kick some major ass given you do the right things. Furthermore, it's story is quite good and features a beautifull ending. Truly a great game, were it not for one highly annoying thing: The Spirit Flute. Seriously, who ever thought it'd be a good idea to include that thing even into the last boss battle deserves to be shot. Repeatedly -.- But oh well, I managed to pull it off, and that's all that counts, right?
- Status: Successfully beaten
- First things first: The graphics, the music and the controls are just pure love and awesome. The storytelling also is quite nice, and all in all I can just say I love the game so far. I know I'm late to this party, but I still haven't finished it despite having preordered it back when it came out (and getting the golden Wiimote, which just rocks <3) due to how busy things have been for me.

The ÅŒkami series is a rather short series, this I admit. Nonetheless, it has created it's own little universe, and this universe is nothing short of awesome. ÅŒkami beautifully captures the japanese art style and takes richly from some of nippon's greatest myths and legends, and to top it off, it has the most awesome soundtrack possible for such a game, being played entirely with traditional japanese instruments. The celestial brush is one hell of an awesome tool and concept, and the battle system is nothing short of entertaining. All in all, if you have not played this game, go and change that. You will certainly not regret it. The same can be said for it's sequel, ÅŒkamiden which features Amaterasu's son Chibiterasu - and a whole cast of other characters that are just too adorable to be true. Honestly, I can not see how one could not love this game, especially if he has played ÅŒkami.
On October 30, 2012, they are going to release a remastering of the original ÅŒkami, labelled ÅŒkami HD. You can bet that I'm gonna get that one and work on getting all the achievements they put in it <3

- Status ÅŒkamiden: Successfully beaten, although not to 100%

I used to play Pokémon a lot... Once upon a time. By now however, I only rarely grab a Pokémon game and play it. Best example: Black. Picked it up as soon as it was out, played it on and off until I had beaten the fifth gym and since then? Nothing. Because it somehow fails to catch me as much as other games do. Yet still, I am deeply involved with Pokémon. How come? Well, the answer is easy: I "play" on a site called PokéFarm, where you can adopt Pokémon and raise them. I quite like the game, and am even in the top ten of some statistics, and I have almost completed the PokéDex over there. I have been a member of staff since May 9th 2011 as a Moderator, and am not likely to stop anytime soon. I enjoy working for the site in my free time, and pretty much all the staff members have become good friends of mine.
Games I've played: Blue, Yellow, TCG, Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, Diamond, Platinum and Black.

No, seriously, this game is beyond great. It is the most awesome puzzle adventure ever designed, and it is just so much fun to play. I have beaten both Portal 1 and 2, although not at 100%. Also, I have not yet completed the Co-op mode, despite having it started with SN a while back. But I'll take care of it in due time, don't worry.

Golden Sun is a series, that has but one mistake: It is too short. The series should be longer, for it is simply amazing. The Psynergy system is very interesting, especially with the area effects and how you use it on the field, and the Djinn make for a very interesting Summon/Upgrade system as well. Having to choose between an augment to your stats or being able to summon a specific creature gives the whole thing a tactical touch that is very, very enjoyable. Also, the games have great music and a neat, unique appearance. Definitely a good RPG series and if you have a GBA and/or a NDS, I absolutely recommend it.
- The game that started it, and the first good rpg for the Gameboy Advance. And by good, I mean really good. Excellent, even. It introduced us to the Djinn and Psynergy, it gave us Isaac, Garet, Ivan and Mia and showed us the beautiful continents of Angara and Gondowan. It gave us the Mercury and Venus Lighthouses as amazing dungeons and had amazing music. So yeah, long story short: Good game, definitely worth playing.
- Status: Completed 100%.
- The direct sequel, which rewarded you when you did well in the first one - A marvelous game. It showed us Weyard in it's entirety, gave us Felix, Jenna, Cosma and Piers and even went as far as to give you the original four back as well, leaving you with an 8 adept team and the ability to switch them around - what more could you want? Well, new summons! And these summons, they were glorious! Iris, Charon, Azul, Eclipse... So many summons were added that increased the quality and tactical aspect of the game even further, it was indeed wonderful. Plus, it had an epic story, turning the bad guys into the sorta-of good guys and ordering you to fulfill the task we were trying to stop in the first game. Very nice. All in all, the best game out of the series.
- Status: Completed 100%.
- After seven long years of waiting, we finally got what we all were longing for: A third Golden Sun. And while it didn't live up to the glory of the first two parts, it certainly wasn't a bad game. It made good use of the ending of The Lost Age, showed us a new, transformed Weyard, a new generation of heroes and an entire new race, the Beastmen. Sadly it didn't do much work on the System, leaving it mostly the same and only gave us Crystallux as a new summon and every Djinn an unique appearance, but still, it was enjoyable. Enough to make me consider replaying it and finally getting 100%.
- Status: Beaten, but not completed to 100%.

Another series I really enjoy, as the puzzles and riddles are a nice challenge and the game itself is designed very beautifully (although I dislike the 3D look of Miracle Mask) plus the music isn't bad either. The games are fun to play and prove to be entertaining even when replaying them, despite one already knowing how to solve the riddle or at least having a hunch from earlier. In any case, a good series for NDS/3DS, and I must say that I am looking forward to it's next entry, even if it will probably be two years before it comes to europe...
Oh, before I forget to mention it, I've also watched Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva, which was really enjoyable. They made that movie very well.

Mafia[]
Mafia is, to put it simple, a party game that is to be played by at least five willing participants, but can potentially hold any number of players. It is a game full of suspicion and murder, both of which gladly don't happen in reality.
Basically, the main point is that there exists a group within the players that is the so-called Mafia, and that strives to eliminate their fellow players so they can seize power or something of the sorts. To do this, they vote in the so-called Night Phase to determine whom they want to kill. However, the other players are of course not that easily dispatched and so between every two Night Phases, their exists a Day Phase.
During said Day Phase, all players including the Mafia discuss on who may be a mafiosi and then vote on who to lynch. If they are lucky or just good at detecting such things, they manage to vote an actual mafiosi and thus raise their own chances of victory, but it is of course also possible that an innocent player is hit, so that it effectively helps the mafia to get closer to their goal.
While this all happens, a so-called Moderator keeps track of the game and elaborates as to how certain events happen. For example, the moderator may chose to narrate how an innocent townsperson exactly was killed during the night. As such, he is also able to give the whole game a theme, effectively turning it into a sort of interactive story.
The game then ends under one of two conditions:
- All the mafiosi have been eliminated, which means that the townspersons have won and will survive
- The remaining number of innocents is equal or less to the number of remaining mafiosi, in which case they abandon their usual ways and just openly kill the remaining innocents, resulting in their victory
This very fun game has been adapted to the wiki back in May 2010 by the user A.J. two, and has since become quite popular, leading to multiple games taking place parallely. If you want to learn more about the game as such, please refer to the link in the Userbox below.

Game III, which is being led by 8bit is the first game in which I personally participated. It features a Kingdom Hearts theme with focus on Organization XIII.
It started back on September 9 2010 and is, due to many unforeseen problems as well as a lenghty, health-related absence of it's moderator, still going and currently stuck in the phase Day III. It is a bit of a shame that it has gotten stuck so often, but sadly there is not much that can be done... It somehow seems to be the fate of this game, sadly. The character I play as in this game is Axel, the organization's number VIII. It is quite fun to play as him, especially as he tends to get into interesting discussions with Xaldin every phase.
Following everyone else's lead, I have also created a talkbubble to be used in this game:
Axel, Odoru Hi no Kaze å…« - Got it Mafiarized? "Hey, wait... I'm enjoying this. You guys are something else!"
Got it memorized? | |||

Due to the various problems of Game III and the growing desire to play Mafia, a fourth game was proposed in November 2010 and after it had been discussed, it was decided that I would be it's moderator.
Game IV features a Dissidia based theme, with every player picking a character from a different main series game and has been dubbed Dismafia 004 Final Fantasy. As such, it is implied to be an earlier cycle of the great war featured in Dissidia, and for convenience it is seen by its players as the fourth.
It was started on December 8 2010 and has ended on June 10 2011 with Chaos' victory in the Day V phase. The game had to fight some major problems, one of it being a slightly decreasing activity of its players and the second the very first on-wiki case of Metagaming in a Mafia game.
Metagaming is the process of trying to use out-of-the-game knowledge in order to determine the mafiosi of a game and in this case, one player tried to decrypt the messages sent by each player. Said player was then disqualified and expelled from the game, while the remaining players had to have their roles reassigned, leading to the game essentially restarting right in the middle of it.
Still, the game found a worthy end and has turned out to be quite fun, leaving me to consider a remake of it with the same theme sometime in the future.
Naturally, I as a moderator also played a character, or to be more precise, two: Cosmos and Chaos. Both were given their respective talkbubbles:
Cosmos, Goddess of Harmony - The Mafia of Dissidia "It is all an endless dream. Yet still... the fantasy must come to an end..."
Let us bring peace and order to this realm, my fair Warriors...
You cannot surpass me...

Game V features a novelty for the games held on the wiki: For the first time, the game is co-moderated by two users, namely A.J. two and Ultima. It has been formally started on February 27, and has since made it to Day I.
The game's theme is based on the first Final Fantasy (with some 8bit Theatre elements, mind you), with me taking Matoya as character:

Game VI is the most recently started game which only begun on March 15. It is unique in the fact that it does feature a theme but is not based on a game or similar, and instead on a fanfic: A l'Cie's Diary... which is a Final Fantasy XIII fanfic written by me. Co-moderated by me and Sorceror Nobody, it has been dubbed Mafia Nova Crystallis and is set in the future of my story, around the time of Cocoon's creation, featuring the player's as l'Cie.
Currently, it is in the middle of the Discussion in Day II, and has already set a record for the wiki games: Not only did the doctors manage to protect a player for the first time, they even managed to do so every night so far. A most impressive feat. Sadly, the game has slowed down considerably after a strong start, featuring only little activity of the players currently.
As a moderating character, I am playing the protagonist of the fanfic, the l'Cie Paddra Boreas Sceada:
Paddra Boreas Sceada - Legendary l'Cie of Paddra - Mafia Nova Crystallis "The hallowed soil of Gran Pulse, it shall not be tainted by the traitor Lindzei. We shall protect it!"
It appears yet another Focus awaits me... - Very well, I shall do what I must..

Game VII is the next upcoming Mafia game moderated by DoorToNothing and "Tabbeh", and it is set to have a The After Years theme. Despite me having little to none knowledge about TAY I still signed up for this game that has yet to start, picking the only character I believe I can play well from those still left: FuSoYa.
