Quick Freeze is a magic ability for Lightning in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It is a unique version of the Blizzard spell that is exclusive to the Black Mage garb. Unlike the normal version of the spell, Quick Blizzard allows Lightning to rapidly cast the spell without much delay in between casts.

Quick Freeze Lv. 2 is automatically obtained as the locked ability for the Black Mage garb, which is obtained from the Ark on Day 4.
Mechanics[]
When performed, Lightning will unleash the base Blizzard spell onto the target, dealing magic ice-elemental damage. Unlike the default Blizzard, Quick Freeze has a finale trigger of nine and eliminates the backflip animation when the finale is performed. It costs 15 ATB to use and can be used when airborne.
