
Hiroyuki Nakayama
Hiroyuki Nakayama (中山 博之, Nakayama Hiroyuki?) is a pianist, arranger, orchestrator, and performer who has contributed in novel arrangements for new releases of songs from the Final Fantasy series. He is also known as Chopin Nakayama (中山ショパン, Nakayama Shopan?) and pia-com2go (ピアコン2号, piakon nigō?, lit. pia-com no. 2).
He graduated from the department of composition of Tokyo University of the Arts. He also teaches video game music arrangement at a university.
Nakayama is best known for the Piano Opera Final Fantasy I-IX album series and for contributing to the orchestra arrangements for the Distant Worlds concerts. His first project was an orchestral arrangement of "Zephyr Memories - Legend of the Eternal Wind", the opening theme for the DS version of Final Fantasy III.
Outside of the series, he is also known for his work in the Kingdom Hearts series, playing the piano and creating arrangements, such as the Piano Collections Kingdom Hearts and Piano Collections Kingdom Hearts Field & Battle albums. He also worked on the music of Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.
