The Triple Banana is a variation of the Banana, which is a common item in the Mario Kart series. When used, the Triple Banana puts three Bananas behind the kart, and can be used to block Red Shells, Green Shells, Birdo Eggs or Yoshi Eggs.

Red[]
Red Triple Bananas were introduced in Mario Kart: V² Circuit as an new item. These red bananas lit foes aflame, making their kart incredibly fast but made them lose most of their sense of control.
Green[]
Green Triple Bananas were introduced in Mario Kart: V² Circuit as an new item. These green bananas ensnared foes into the ground, making them come to a complete halt for a short amount of time. You can boost upon the deactivation of this effect.
Blue[]
Blue Triple Bananas were introduced in Mario Kart: V² Circuit as an new item. These blue bananas lit foes aflame, making their kart slippery, as if the kart was driving on ice, for 7 seconds.
Purple[]
Purple Triple Bananas were introduced in Mario Kart: V² Circuit as an new item. These purple bananas made foes small, making them slower and harder to accomplish things like drifting.

Koopa Kart series[]
The Triple Banana appears in every game in the Koopa Kart series starting from Koopa Kart Advance (being the only item introduced in the game), serving the same role as in Mario Kart. In most games, it can be obtained in the top three positions, while in Koopa Kart Wii and Koopa Kart 8, it is obtainable in the top four positions.
