Chapter 375

Herculean Madness is the 375th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail.

Franmalth finishes his soul transformation, shocking Natsu and Lucy by revealing that he has taken Hades' soul, and can utilize the Dark Mage's Magic. Attempting to fight and struggling, Natsu falls victim to Franmalth's attacks and slowly has his soul absorbed as well. With Erza and Mirajane also having trouble in their battles, Wendy and Carla arrive at Face's location, unaware that Ezel is also present.

Summary[]

As Wendy and Carla fly towards Face's location, Natsu, Happy and Lucy stay and engage Franmalth, watching on in shock as the Demon morphs his body to the pattern of Hades' soul. Commenting that the Demon looks more weird than scary, Natsu and Lucy are told that they should not underestimate the previous Grimoire Heart Master's soul, as it contains a vast amount of incredibly powerful dark Magic. Stating that they were the ones to take Hades out, Natsu springs forward, punching Franmalth in the face and sending him flying; however, Franmalth merely rebounds from a wall and slams back into Natsu, knocking him into the hallways walls. Utilizing Hades' Chain Magic, Franmalth manages to grab onto Natsu and uses his Curse to try and absorb the Dragon Slayer's soul. Realizing what the Demon is attempting to do, Natsu hurls an attack at his face, breaks free of his grasp and activates Lightning Fire Dragon Mode, successfully hitting Franmalth and blowing him away. However, as soon as the flames touch Franmalth's body, the Demon begins to absorb them as well, with Happy and Lucy soon figuring out that the Demon is continuing to take in Natsu's soul through his Magic. Smiling as he releases Natsu's flames around his body, Franmalth tells the group not to underestimate Zeref's Demons; whilst, around Tartaros' headquarters, both Mirajane and Erza struggle in their fights against Seilah and Kyôka respectively.

Concurrently, Wendy and Carla—through use of Carla's Max Speed—arrive at Face's location and head deep underground to find the device. Wandering and searching the caverns, the two are unaware of Ezel, who is present and following them.
