Bird (バード Bādo) is a Demon from the Book of Faris and a member of the Oración Sechs.

Appearance[]

Bird resembles an avian humanoid, having a muscular physique via his torso and arms, with dark markings, while having red feathered wings and a bird-like head but with a human jaw. Bird also has large, clawed avian feet.^[1]

Personality[]

True to his name, Bird often incorporates bird-related words into their speech, even where it doesn't belonging, such as saying "eggcourage" instead of encourage or calling the Wood Dragon God Aldoron a huge bird, though he'll correct himself and speak properly. He also will sometimes make bird-like noises such as "Trill, trill, trill!" or "Hah haah!!!"^[2][3]

History[]

Like their fellow Oración Sechs members, Bird was created through currently unknown means by the Black Wizard Faris to fight her enemies.^[4]

Synopsis[]

True Dragon King Festival arc[]

After the Oración Sechs are called upon by Faris, she informs them of Ignia's goal to turn Guiltina Into a "Dragon World," as well as Team Natsu's opposition to him, and her own goal to kill both Humans and Dragons and create a world of Black Wizards where the 2 former species aren't needed. Amongst the Oración Sechs' reaction to this, Bird boasts their superiority and states they'll defeat the Humans and Dragons. They later, alongside Gaia, push back against Faris for what they see as encouraging (though Bird nearly says "eggcourage") Zero by accepting the latter's desire not to follow orders.^[5][6] As Ignia approaches, Faris offers to fight him on her own, sending Bird and the rest of the Oración Sechs to pursue their mission.^[7]

Magic and Abilities[]

Sky Black Magic (空の黒魔法 Sora no Kuro Mahō): As a "Black Wizard", Bird uses this form of Black Magic.^[8] This Magic allows him to be able to make the area around him become dark and enter the darkness as well.^[9]

Unique Physiology: Bird has multiple avian features such as feathers and a pair of bird feet, giving him some unique abilities. His physiology also allows him to incorporate his avian features and abilies in his attacks.^[10]

• Falcon Wing (ハヤブサウイング Hayabusa Uingu): Bird shoots out fast paced feathers from his body towards his target.^[11]
• Condor Fin-Fan (コンドルフィンファン Kondoru Finfan): Bird flaps his wings to make the wind around him to blow towards his target on a downward spiral.^[12]
• Eagle Attaché (イーグルアタッシェ Īguru Atasshe): Bird grabs his opponent's neck with his talons and slams them into the ground.^[13]
• Flight: Through the use of his feathers, Bird is capable of flying.^[14]
• Enhanced Strength: Bird has shown great strength easily being able to hit Sawyer into the ground while breaking the area around them.^[13]

Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Bird displayed great prowess in unarmed combat, having been able to fight and overpower Sawyer, an extremely proficient hand-to-hand fighter.^[15]
