Midra's Manse is a legacy dungeon in Shadow of the Erdtree.

Overview[]

Midra's Manse is a sprawling manor hidden deep within the Abyssal Woods of the Realm of Shadow. It occupies the southeastern edge of the forest, positioned south of the Divided Falls Site of Grace and southwest of the Abyssal Woods Site of Grace. A grim line of ten figures marks the entrance to Midra's Manse, each executed by decapitation and left with their necks impaled by gleaming golden barbs.^[1]

Known as the sanctum of the great Sage Midra, Midra's Manse is forbidden by the hornsent.^[2] Midra’s dalliance with the Frenzied Flame led to the wrath of the hornsent Inquisitors,^[3] who descended upon the manor to vehemently purge its influence.^[4][5] Sage Midra was ultimately impaled with the Greatsword of Damnation and skewered upon the barbs of its Golden Crux.^[6][7]

The maddening aura of the Frenzied Flame lingers heavily over the once-grand manse, now kept under guard by the hornsent inquisitors. Those who once served its halls are now afflicted with the Flame of Frenzy. Midra himself endures his punishment at the behest of his lady, Nanaya,^[8] and warns any who approach to turn back, lest they too be consumed by Madness.^[9][10]
