Ekzykes, Dragon Communion Revenger, did not forget his hatred even as he succumbed to the scarlet rot.- Ekzykes Decay

Decaying Ekzykes, also known as the Dragon Communion Revenger, is an optional Great Enemy boss in Elden Ring.

Overview[]

Main article: Dragon

The dragon Ekzykes harbored deep resentment toward the Drake Warriors who feasted upon Dragon Hearts through Dragon Communion.[1] He brought bale upon these dragon hunters, denying their entry to the Cathedral of Dragon Communion.[2]

In the aftermath of the Battle of Aeonia, most dragons abandoned Caelid to evade the creeping scarlet rot.[3] Ekzykes, however, chose to remain. Ultimately, Ekzykes succumbed to the rot,[4] leaving behind nothing but his seething hatred and gravel stone heart.[1][2]
