First Contact (ファーストコンタクト Fāsuto Kontakuto) is the ninety-fifth chapter of the Dr. Stone manga.
Summary[]
Suika is happy Sagara found the oil, before realizing what his fate is. Looking at the boar, Senku asks Francois if the boar can be eaten after rolling in oil but a smiling Francois states it is unfits. Senku then allows Suika to keep Sagara as a pet, to her joy. Suika then places an Ishigami Village rope around Sagara, as a collar.
Senku's group proceed to test their motorboat, as Taiju approaches and asks Senku who is the lady he's fallen for, eliciting confusion from everyone. Taiju explains before the petrification, Senku created a love potion for him when he went to confess to Yuzuriha. Taiju notes he is smelling the same thing as then. Recalling, Senku laughs and reveals that it was not a love potion but gasoline, surprising Taiju. Senku states if Taiju recognized the smell then the Sagara oil is the same as what he used during the modern time. Ryusui then states if gasoline was the last bit of science Senku did in the old world then they've reached that point and can go beyond now.
An unknown entity makes contact with the Kingdom of Science.
The group then set off with Chrome amazed by their travel but brings up concerns on whether they can go back before Senku announces they are building a GPS, shocking Ryusui, Gen, and Ukyo. After brief worry, Senku states they will use the "crazy-strong" radio tower to act as a makeshift GPS. The tower is turned on for the first time and they make contact with those in Japan. Ruri asks if they are okay before Ginro tells her to take initiative and confess, something everyone else supports. A blushing Ruri tries to speak to Chrome but the call is cut short when a new message that saturated the radio frequency the Kingdom was using. This causes Senku to announce another being is trying to make contact, which has his friends shocked someone else is out there. Gen translates that the message consisted of one word being repeated over and over: "Why?".
