Hot-Head Hop, or Hothead Hop, is the first stage of the world Crocodile Cauldron of the Crocodile Isle and the seventh stage overall in the game Donkey Kong Country 2, as well as the first stage of the world Krem Cauldron and the seventh stage overall in the game Donkey Kong Land 2. In both games, it is preceded by Krow's Nest and followed by Kannon's Klaim.
Overview[]
It is the first lava cave stage in both games. The Kongs must avoid to fall into lava pits. At some points, Krocheads/Krockheads, harmless enemies, must be used as stepping platforms for moving over pits.
Squitter the Spider first appears here, via an Animal Crate in Donkey Kong Country 2 or an Animal Barrel in Donkey Kong Land 2. The Animal Buddy allows the heroes to reach high places containing special collectables and Bonus Barrels.
In Donkey Kong Land 2, this is the first stage to feature a Kannon used for accessing a Bonus Room and activated by the primates throwing a Kannonball at it.
Other enemies found inside the stage in both games include Neeks, Klobbers, Klampons, Zingers and Kruncha.
