Army is an armadillo enemy first appearing in Donkey Kong Country. It reappeared in Donkey Kong Land. In both of the games, it first appears in the stage Ropey Rampage. Its attack is rolling around, trying to ram into the Kongs.
Summary
Army's main attack pattern is to curl into a ball and ram forwards or backwards. They make a sound effect upon doing so. When Donkey Kong jumps on one or rolls into it when it is curled up, he will bounce off it and the Army will go back into a standing position through a recoil. However, when Donkey Kong jumps on them they are defeated instantly, due to his sheer strength (though rolling into it even with DK will make the Army recoil). Armies are also one of the enemies that comes out of Dumb Drum, the 5th boss in the game.
They only appear in the levels Ropey Rampage, Slipslide Ride, Rope Bridge Rumble, Misty Mine & Platform Perils.
A bigger version of an Army named Army Dillo appears in Donkey Kong 64 as the boss of Jungle Japes and later Crystal Caves.
They have also been seen in a trailer for the canceled game Donkey Kong Racing.
