Two More Eggs is a 2015 Disney XD animated shorts series that first aired on Disney XD's YouTube channel. It was created by Matt Chapman and Mike Chapman (the Brothers Chaps), the creators of Homestar Runner, the former also worked on Gravity Falls previously. The first season originally released episodes online every Tuesday from June 2015 to March 2016. The second season was released every two days on Disney XD from June 2016 to December 2016. The third and final season was released throughout June 2017.
Synopsis[]
The show consists of 1 to 3 minute short comedy sketches, using different kinds of animation for different shorts including CGI and flash animation, with the humor being similar to that found on the creators' previously mentioned cartoon Homestar Runner. Occasionally, characters from one short will pop up in another, usually as a gag. Most of the characters are voiced by Matt and Mike Chapman, though occasionally a child voice actor is used for the "Hector & Kovitch" and "Panda Bractice" segments. Recurring segments include:
Dooble[]
A small homeless vagrant who is known for his greeting of "Haloshe". He is known for his somewhat confounding and surreal exclamations which do not appear to have anything to do with what is happening around him, yet still leaves a positive influence with people. The only recurring characters besides Dooble that appears in the segments are Linda, a baker, Stevie Twicetimes, a get away driver, Largth, a grey-skinned down on his luck employee, the Angry Boss and Francis Sweetmouth, a gopher who keeps having his paste taken away. Dooble also has a rival named Renfrow who has a similar gimmick.
Hector & Kovitch[]
Two children who hang out a lot. Hector is a tall, round bodied boy with brown frizzy hair who talks with a lisp and rambles about things he enjoys while Kovitch is a small blue skinned red haired boy who usually listens to Hector quietly. After Hector is done with his ramblings, Kovitch will follow up with a childish non-sequitur. A mini-arc wherein Hector has a sleepover with Kovitch depicts the latter as being somewhat more self-aware of Hector's bizarre personality. It is also revealed that he has a baby brother named Bertner and that his full name is Kovitch Keith.
CGI Palz[]
A surreal television show that focuses on CG animated characters. Rotisserie, a puppet doll girl, Rooty, a large, sapient tree, Arlington, a cloud with glasses and top hat, The Lenore Street Bridge, a dog head on a plaque who speaks in a Scooby-Doo-esque manner, and Pekot, a teacup with arms and legs who never speaks. They treat CG as an inner heartfelt source of comfort as the theme song declares "We can do it if we're all CG!" It is heavily implied that this segment is supposed to be somewhat unsettling due to the low quality CG used to render the characters.
Hot Dip[]
A commercial/sit-com series that promotes an unspecified beige edible goop. Hot Dip, who arrived shouting "Dip-Pow!", is personified as a gloopy person with sunglasses who aids a young boy named Hayden with a variety of menial tasks that always seem to end up with mixed results such as asking a girl named Brianka to the dance while also having to do his karate class. Hayden's supportive mom, depicted as a brown haired woman with a tattoo on her arm and slit eyebrows, always asks for dip only to be denied with a stamp on her forehead and Hop Dip declaring that the product is "Not 4 Momz!" This culminates in the finale where the mom becomes evil and tries to have Hot Dip all to herself.
Trauncles[]
A parody of British children's shows that focuses on the titular town. The Narrator, who is a character himself, always begins each segment with "Oh {exclamation}, it's Trauncles; a little town just like yours and mine" before describing some of the buildings of bizarre establishments. The calm sounding Narrator is usually sadistic and seems to enjoy making the townspeople suffer, though he will sometimes get his comeuppance. The townsfolk include Stevens, a do-gooder boy, Jordy, a trouble maker, Marigold, Stevens' girlfriend, Bellingham's Houndsman, a humanoid dog person, Gram Moody, a kindly old lady who makes pies out of people and Miss Evelyn Horsecastle, whom the Narrator claims "won't return [his] calls".
Eggpo[]
A parody of minor enemies in video games, most notably the Goombas in Super Mario Bros. The Eggpos are eggplant-like enemies from the fictional game Dooble 2, featuring Dooble as the protagonist, and focuses on two Eggpos named New Guy and Old Timer. New Guy tends to point out the flaws in their logic of attack while Old Timer tries to stick to the old ways, otherwise the game will not function properly.
The Joshow Show[]
A live-action segment focusing on Joshow, a man who lost his job at the pharmacy and decides to create an arts and crafts style vlog. Joshow's face is never shown, only his hands, and he refers to his son Joshow Jr. who is always criticizing his father's lack of talent off camera. In the final segment, Joshow Jr. saves his father's blog with a remix with Joshow declaring "Mom can move back in!", implying that she had left him, most likely due to him losing his job in the first place.
New4Mobile[]
An advert for a mobile phone that apparently does a variety of things with the harsh subtext of "Streaming data rates may apply!". Later segments depict people attempting to talk with customer service only to get an "automated" voice recording that might actually be an actual man who is trying to give the caller a hard time. In one instance, the voice went up against Dooble who was looking for "Debra" which the voice was surprised was simply him doing a higher pitched voice.
Hot Diggity[]
A scientist named Dr. Terrence Trent Diggity teaches science and "mathence" to his assistant Londie. Dr. Diggity, despite speaking with a clear and educated sounding voice, is actually inept and does not seem to know what he is doing, which Londie is completely oblivious to. He believes that he invented the internet after receiving a hardware update disc in the mail and cannot pronounce "photosynthesis". He lives in a tool shed that he claims is a "class g domicile".
Poach & Scramble[]
Two eggs that love to dance. The two of them are animated while all the backgrounds are live action. They never speak and neither do the other food objects they encounter. Their rivals are Extra Sauce and Half n' half. It is heavily implied that they are the titular "Two More Eggs" of the show.
Parental Notice[]
Parental notices for preschool shows. The descriptions always tend to be outlandish and contradictory to whatever the show in question is trying to do. At one point it gave a parental notice to all the segments in Two More Eggs itself where it was unable to describe CGI Palz.
Bad Snaxx[]
An optimistic mother of two who tries to create a video blog that focuses on life hacks-style solutions to making snacks. Her ideas are obviously lousy which her husband and children openly point out.
Gankroar[]
A fighting robot from a television show and toyline. He goes on adventures with his alien companion Cheeby, usually in the backyards of children who play with them.
Street Road Junction[]
A show pitched by Largth about sentient roads. Similar to Thomas the Tank Engine, the scenery is live action paper crafts while the roads' faces are animated.
Panda Bractice[]
An all-girl RV band consisting of optimistic Glennis, a girl who plays guitar and is the lead singer, Libby, a tough and rebellious girl who plays drums and Marta, a quiet and aloof girl who plays the keys and "anything [she] can slush with [her] sleeve tentacles". In the last episode she is shown to be a tennis prodigy. They are accompanied by a chubby boy named Lusjelton who is their manager and whose mom is apparently their biggest fan. They are the only segments that actually tell a cohesive story and they are the final shorts to be released for the entirety of Two More Eggs.
