Trivia[]

• This episode's release of Mickey and the Beanstalk removed all footage of and narration by Edgar Bergen and replaced it with a new narration by Sterling Holloway. Some additional animation was added after Willie crash landed in Happy Valley of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, almost tumbling out of the book before it closes. The ending scene with Willie the Giant lifting the roof and peeking in is no longer that of Bergen's house, but now that of the Disney Studios so he can ask not Bergen but Walt Disney himself where Mickey is. Walt replies that Mickey is down at the Brown Derby to get a cheese soufflé.
• This episode was later re-named "Mickey's Greatest Adventures" and re-aired as part of the "Disney's Wonderful World" season in 1980, and then as part of the syndicated "Wonderful World of Disney" program of the late 1980s. Here, The Band Concert is replaced with Mickey's Trailer, and all of Walt Disney's scenes are cut. This version can currently be viewed at the Paley Center for Media.
• The Holloway-narrated version of Mickey and the Beanstalk later aired on the syndicated Disney Magic television package in the 1980s, alongside Dumbo.
