Stanley Yelnats II is the son of Stanley Yelnats I, the father of Stanley Yelnats III, and the grandfather of Stanley Yelnats IV in the 2003 live-action film, Holes. He lives with the Yelnats family in their apartment and constantly reminds everyone that their bad luck is because of that "no good dirty rotten pig stealin' Elya".
Personality[]
Yelnats II is well-meaning and sarcastic, though his personality is not much elaborated during the film (though he has little screen time).
Role in the film[]
Stanley Yelnats II mostly serves as a supporting character. He is first seen in a flashback where Stanley IV is brought home and Stanley II tries to reason with the police (though this does not help). While having dinner, Stanley II blames his grandfather Elya Yelnats and starts singing the song "if only if only" with Stanley the third only to be stop by his daughter in law: Tiffany. The next day, when he's present at Stanley's hearing, the Judge mistakenly ask him, his son, and his grandson due to having the same name, but was then sat down along with his son as the judge only his grandson to stand.
