Camp Green Lake was a juvenile detention and correctional facility located in Texas.
History[]
Camp Green Lake was built somewhere near an abandoned town in an unspecified location in Texas. The town used to be by the largest lake in the state but became a dry lakebed after Sam the Onion Man was killed on the lake 110 years earlier. The Camp is run by Warden Walker, and her assistant Mr. Sir, and camp counselor Dr. Pendanski. Each day, the detainees must dig a five-foot round hole in the desert to "build character". However, after Stanley, the great-great-grandson of Elya, carried Zero, a descendant of Madame Zeroni up to the mountaintop, he unknowingly broke the curse that had haunted the Yelnats for generations by singing the lullaby to Zero. When Zero and Stanley are released from the camp, it rains again for the first time in 100 years and the Warden, Pendanski, and Sir are all arrested, which leads to Camp Green Lake being shut down and turned into a Girl Scout Camp.
Trivia[]
It hasn't rained for one hundred years on Camp Green Lake. However, rain falls on Green Lake at the end of the film.
