Rufus the Turtle

Rufus the Turtle is a musician turtle that plays Zydeco music for the Tiana's Bayou Adventure attraction in the Disney Parks.

Background[]

Rufus may be a turtle, but he is quick to jump into rhythm with his harmonica. He's also the first to join in on new adventures! He is genuine and sincere but may come across as a little sarcastic at times with his habitual sighing. Rufus loves going on adventures with Apollo.

Development[]

An artwork of Rufus the Turtle was revealed to be featured in the upcoming attraction at Disneyland and Walt Disney World's Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Therefore, the Imagineers are creating the animatronic of the turtle to make his appearance in the attraction.

Rufus can be seen in the "Gonna Take You There" sequence alongside with other members of the Zydeco Critter Band, while he is playing his harmonica.

He can be seen one last time in the "Special Spice" final sequence where he can be seen sitting on the balcony fence of Fleur du Bayou next to Apollo and Claude, while playing his harmonica as Tiana and Naveen are hosting the Mardi Gras party.

Rufus can be seen on the marquee of Critter Co-Op, and can be seen on The Bayou Community Band poster outside the store.

Rufus can be seen on the Rufus and the Terrapins poster inside the store.

Rufus can be seen on the poster of the Stars of the Week featuring Gritty, Rufus, Beau, and Octavia outside the store.
