The Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail is a walkthrough attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It is located at Africa next to the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction where guests can see African animals. It is about three-eights of a mile in length. In most of the exhibits, there are "research students" positioned at most locations to give you information about the animals and answer questions.
The attraction was renamed from Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail to Pangani Forest Exploration Trail in August of 1998 and would keep this name until May 27, 2016, when the original name was restored.
Storyline[]
The Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail is located in a forested part of the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, home to the Gorilla Falls Conservation School and Wildlife Sanctuary, run as a joint effort between the people of Harambe and various conservation groups. Headed by Dr. Kulunda, the trail features various research outposts for the students and scientists to study the inhabitants of the forest, with many of the displays taking on this educational framework.
