"Minnie Red Riding Hood" is the eighteenth episode of the first season of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It originally aired on Playhouse Disney (now Disney Jr.) on November 4, 2006.
Plot[]
Goofy gets a cold while camping. Minnie plans to bring some of her "Minnie-strone soup" so he can feel better. But they must to watch out for that sneaky cat, Pete.
Synopsis[]
The episode begins in the Clubhouse with Mickey greeting the viewers when, suddenly, a loud sneeze-like noise is heard. Minnie comes in wearing a red bandana and holding a bag of food. She explains that the loud sound was Goofy, who went camping and came down with a cold, so she is going to make some of her famous Minnie-strone soup. Mickey and the viewers offer to help her, and Mickey goes to the Mouse-ke-doer to pick his Mousketools: some roller skates, a giant candy cane, a picnic basket, and the mystery Mousketool (A Seesaw).
Mickey and Minnie finish preparing the Minnie-strone soup and Mickey calls Toodles for the picnic basket to carry the soup. The duo leaves and soon run into Pete, who is attracted the soup. Pete attempts to fake being sick so he can the soup, but the mice see right through his charade and continue forward. Pete then swipes the soup while hiding in a tree, but he falls into a puddle and angrily leaves, leaving the soup on a branch. Mickey calls Toodles for the giant candy cane, allowing him to recollect the soup.
While walking, Mickey and Minnie run into Daisy, who was bringing a blanket for Goofy. Pete switches up the signs to confuse the group, but with viewers' help, Mickey deciphers the correct path to Goofy's tent. The group then finds Donald, who was bringing coloring books to Goofy. The group, including Donald, continue until they see a boulder blocking the path. Mickey calls Toodles for a mouseketool. However, the only Mouseketools left are the roller skates and the mystery Mouseketool. Even if they chose roller skates, it would be crushed, because the big boulder is heavier than the skates, since using the roller skates could be dangerous on a boulder which has handles. So instead, they chose the mystery Mouseketool, which is a seesaw.
The gang loads the seesaw with smaller rocks to move the boulder. Pete begins catching up to them, and Mickey calls Toodles for the final Mousketool: the roller skates. The gang skates away from Pete, and make it to Goofy's tent. Minnie feeds him some Minnie-strone soup as Pete appears, dressed as an elderly woman, but the gang sees through his disguise. Pete then comes down with an actual cold, finally allowing him to eat the soup. The gang soon returns to the Clubhouse, including Goofy. The episode ends with the friends doing the Hot Dog Dance before the Clubhouse disappears and Mickey waving goodbye to the viewers.

Trivia[]
- The title and plot are both references to the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood.
- "Minnie-stroni" is a pun in "minestrone".
- Pete's disguise as a little old lady to trick Minnie into eating her soup is a reference to the Wolf disguise as grandma to trick Red Riding Hood to eat her, Mickey asking the audience and his friends if little old ladies have big furry arms, a round shiny nose, and big black pointy ears is also a reference to Red Riding Hood asking the wolf; what big eyes, ears, and teeth he has.
- Pete's little old lady disguise dress shares a resemblance to the Fairy Godmother's outfit.
- This is the first time Pete wears a disguise in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, the second time this happens is in "Mickey's Great Clubhouse Hunt".
- Pluto is absent throughout this episode; but he does appear during the Hot Dog Dance.
- This is the third of four episodes on the Mickey's Storybook Surprises DVD.
- Throughout the episode, we hear an instrumental version of "Over the River and Through the Woods".
Goofs[]
- While Pete spins the signs around, Minnie tells Daisy there's nutmeg, coriander, and cinnamon in her Minnie-stroni soup in the background. However, when we saw Minnie and Mickey making the soup, while they added spices to it, they only used tomatoes, potatoes, and onions, and none of what she mentioned to Daisy.
